Abstract, Negative space, Perspective, these are all composition styles that can be incorporated into your photographs, and should be. The array of compositions you use greatly affect a photo; it can show a story, enhance the subject, reveal a double meaning, etc...

Some do not believe that photography is an art form, but they're wrong. The photos you will take will represent you; who you are, what you like, your history and how you see the world. Photography helps us document history; lets us go back and experience things long forgotten. An old photograph, taken by a long dead man, may be analysed hundreds of years later by students like you, and a hidden story might be revealed.

There is still a lot of debate over which camera is best, and how many megapixels a camera needs to make a great picture, but in truth all that matters is the photographer. A person with no photography skills with the best camera in the world will be nothing compared to a great photographer, even if he only has a mediocre camera. Photography As teaches students to be great photographers.
