For me, it was 3 and 5, where combined, form the need of an effective constructive feedback loop between the teacher and the students. There are the Teacher Performance expectations to have to meet and exceed, as well as developing a strong bond between the teacher and the students. While it was stressful to know that there are so many things to worry about, in person and on paper, including the TPE's; the class has also given me a sigh of relief that I shouldn't have to worry too much about too many things from the start. They will become natural over time and the credential program is designed to overcome and master them. While one of the TPE’s that I designated for myself to improve on most was on lesson planning, I learned that the lesson plan is not as important as developing a relationship with the students that allows them to want to learn. The first step to making any kind of change is to acknowledge that there is the need and potential to change. The second is to have the initiative to make that change.
