         <description><![CDATA[<div>Greetings. I am Mikhail Matusevich. I am currently a National University Student, studying to become a teacher in Single-Subject English with a possibility of also studying for Single-Subject Biology. I have a strong background in both subjects, especially in terms of English Literature and analysis as well as Human Anatomy and Physiology (both being equal passions of mine). My preferred teaching methodology involves use of multi-media, dialect, critical-thinking exercises related to subject, problem-solving and inquiry. Additionally, I am flexible in relating material to different analogies that would allow more students to understand and master the material. I also have experience tutoring students with ADD, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, and other ASD symptoms.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the first class I had in the credential program, we had to discuss the 6 Teacher Performance Expectations, and the kind of biases teachers may have related to the ones we felt the need to work the most on. For me, it was 3 and 5, where combined, form the need of an effective constructive feedback loop between the teacher and the students. The teacher must plan an effective Lesson Plan that maximizes student mastery of the learning material, while also use assessment result to understand which students struggle with which material the most, and why; so they can improve their lesson plans moving forward.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The thing I learned from my first class in my credential program is that there is so much one has to learn to become a teacher that goes beyond knowing the subject matter. There are the Teacher Performance expectations to have to meet and exceed, as well as developing a strong bond between the teacher and the students. While it was stressful to know that there are so many things to worry about, in person and on paper, including the TPE's; the class has also given me a sigh of relief that I shouldn't have to worry too much about too many things from the start. They will become natural over time and the credential program is designed to overcome and master them. While one of the TPE’s that I designated for myself to improve on most was on lesson planning, I learned that the lesson plan is not as important as developing a relationship with the students that allows them to want to learn. The first step to making any kind of change is to acknowledge that there is the need and potential to change. The second is to have the initiative to make that change. I now have a better understanding of how I need to change so that I can better help the next generation become stronger, wiser, and more charismatic.</div>]]></description>
