Every stone in it’s construction has been carefully cut and smoothly finished thus allowing rainwater to run off. It is said to have been a religious building. It is dimly lit, with only a tiny window in the wall furthest from the door. It has been suggested that ‘Gall Aras’ translates to mean The house for foreigners by archaeologist Peter Harbison. It’s construction date is unknown But has to have been around for over 1000 years.
