He described everything very precisely to make us really believe it's true.

In order to twist the facts, the author wrote different words backwards, so that the reader did not know what he was talking about. For example, the author wrote the word "America" as "Nacirema", "hospital" as "latipsoh", and "dentist" as "tsitned." He also twisted reality, like calling the bathroom a shrine, calling doctors medicine men, and calling medicine magical potions.

One advantage to satire is that it can allow us to view a topic from a different perspective. This could teach us that our misconceptions about that topic were wrong, and open our minds to new ideas. Living in a world were it is hard to tell what is fake news and what is real is difficult because many don't have the time to look further into suspicious reports, and end up believing something untrue. It also teaches those producing fake news that lying is a good way to make money. The positives of fake news are that it can teach people to not be so gullible.

Satire can open our eyes to things around us that you would not have otherwise realized for example it opened my eyes to things like the dentist and how it does not make much sense. Also fake news can teach us to not click on everything that we see and if there is something that seems a bit far fetched then it probably is not true. In a world with fake news if people see that fake news is working they will make their own fake news and it will keep on happening until there is not more real news just fake news.

We thought this was a real tribe until the "magical paste" and dentist talk. It sounded like fake "magic" in a religion or what not which sounded a little sketchy. Also because it sounded off, we didn't think that back then they would care so much about "magical" things making them look better. I think the point of this to make you realize how we act today. While reading this, readers may think that these people are crazy and very odd. But when you find out this is just an interpretation of Americans, it changes your perspective on what we do on a daily basis.
