My name is Ana Luchian, and I am delighted to join this wonderful international community of teachers. I am a teacher of Informatics, German, and Robotics (RoboticaSmartLab) with over 20 years of experience, currently working at IPLT Hyperion Lyceum in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.

In the 2024–2025 school year, I had the pleasure of collaborating with a school in Romania on an online project focused on Our Cultural Heritage. This year, our collaboration continues with a new theme, The Wonderful World of Fairy Tales. Additionally, I guide students in grades 7 and 8 in the optional course English for the Future, where we explore language skills with a focus on creativity, innovation, and preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.

I am a sociable and creative person who truly loves working with children. STEM education has become a growing interest for me, as I enjoy integrating scientific thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on learning into my classroom activities. Being part of this large international STEM project is both exciting and inspiring, and I look forward to learning from all of you, sharing ideas, and collaborating to spark curiosity and innovation in our students.

I am eager to connect, exchange experiences, and work together to make STEM learning engaging, meaningful, and fun for our learners!

My passion is combining English with STEAM, helping learners use language as a tool for problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration. I have created interactive resources on educatieinteractiva.md, contributed to the Online Education Project, and collaborated with AISE Moldova, America House Chisinau, and inspiring initiatives like IDEA.

At our school, we host Peace Corps volunteers and actively participate in international projects and competitions. For me, English teaching is about building global bridges, encouraging curiosity, and preparing students for the future.

I’m excited to share experiences and connect with colleagues who are equally passionate about STEAM and global education!

For me being a good teacher does not just mean to be able to implant knowledge to your students but to be able to inspire them to search knowledge for themselves so that they can change their lives and the world!!

At our lyceum, we believe that education is not just about passing on knowledge, but about guiding young people to become creative problem-solvers, confident leaders, and active contributors to a fair and inclusive society.

Over the years, I have promoted inclusive education and gender equality as essential values for a modern school open to everyone. I am particularly passionate about encouraging girls to explore science and technology, discover their potential, and feel empowered to lead with curiosity and resilience.

Our students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to experiment and learn by doing. Many of them are already engaged in science clubs, robotics workshops, environmental initiatives, and creative projects that blend technology, art, and design. They enjoy teamwork and have demonstrated outstanding skills in problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking—qualities that make them ready to participate in innovative STEAM projects.

I have previously been involved in several national and international educational initiatives that focused on inclusion and equal opportunities:

Local coordinator in the Y-PEER Moldova project;

National trainer in “Using the Index for Inclusion to Develop Learning and Participation in Schools” (CCF Moldova in partnership with ChildFund Deutschland, MRCC, and ANACEC);

Participant in “Socio-school Inclusion of Vulnerable Children in the Educational System” (PRODOCS Association);

Contributor to “Towards an Inclusive School in Moldova” (CCF Moldova in partnership with ChildFund Deutschland).

These experiences have shown me the transformative power of education and collaboration—how projects can bridge gaps, build confidence, and open opportunities for both girls and boys to thrive in STEAM fields.

I am excited about the chance to join this project and to create meaningful learning experiences where our students can design, explore, and innovate. I am confident that my professional experience, together with the energy, curiosity, and talent of my students, can bring real value to this collaboration.

We look forward to contributing our ideas, enthusiasm, and dedication to the project’s activities, inspiring more young people—especially girls—to see themselves as future scientists, engineers, and changemakers.

Education opens several doors in a man's life.

Education is a goods that never expires.

      I will involve a group of motivated 16-year-old students who are curious, creative, and eager to collaborate with peers from other countries. They already have good communication skills in English and are open to exploring new ideas and technologies. These students are interested in both science and the arts, and they enjoy project-based learning that allows them to express their talents while developing teamwork skills.

     Over the past years, I have taken part in educational projects that combined language learning with cultural exchange and creativity.
