The American Revolution is an example of resilience and resistance because George Washington and his men struggled in many ways according to the article "Valley Forge and the American Revolution" during the harsh winters the army was living in a camp with little food, some blankets and no shoes or coats. A way the showed resistance is they fought and encouraged one an other to keep fight even when they were cold. A way the showed resilience is that a lot of soldiers were not trained so they were losing so he encouraged the men to keep fighting and eventually got help.

The American Revolution is an example of resilience and resistance because James Armistead Lafayette struggled in many ways according to a google recommendation James Armistead Lafayette status as a spy meant that he did not benefit from the Act of 1783, which emancipated any slave-soldiers that fought for the Revolution. As a result, Armistead began the process of petitioning Congress to fight for his freedom. Also he was born into slavery which means he did not have no freedom but then he joined the Army and gained his freedom there. Lastly Lafayette employed Armistead as a spy, with the hopes of gathering intelligence in regards to enemy movements. Posing as a runaway slave hired by the British to spy on the Americans, Armistead successfully infiltrated British General Charles Cornwallis' headquarters. He later returned north with turncoat soldier Benedict Arnold, and learned further details of British operations without being detected. Able to travel freely between both British and American camps, Armistead could easily relay information to Lafayette about British plans.

The American Revolution is an example of resilience and resistance because Pueblo people struggled in many ways According to the source "Why was the Pueblo Revolt considered to be one of the most effective Indian resistance movement in American history?" The successful revolt kept the Spanish out of New Mexico for 12 years, and established a different power dynamic upon their return. The Pueblo Revolt holds great historical significance because it helped ensure the survival of Pueblo cultural traditions. The pueblo had to deal with drought so many days with no water so the decided to collect ice and use that to drink. The pueblo people were forced to be Catholic and were punished severely according to a source Catholicism was forced on them by missionaries who burned their ceremonial pits (kivas), masks, and other sacred objects. Indians were tried in Spanish courts and received severe punishments—hanging, whipping, dismemberment (of hands or feet), or condemnation to slavery.
