I found the book Writing up Qualitative Research by Harry F. Wolcott.
I searched for this book on the Deakin Library homepage and found it available as an eBook (very useful to have in this format).
I found it quite easy to navigate my way around the book. Although I'm not sure if I would use this book as it seems to have a focus on publishing a book rather then writing up a research paper.

I found an interesting video interview of Joanne D’Ardenne a question developer for NatCen a not-for-profit social research organisation. Key points were given about cognitive (semi-structured) interviews and eliciting deeper responses from participants and the advantages of cognitive interviews including getting a feeling as to what participants understand and are comfortable with. I found only parts of it relevant and stopped it about half way through as it continued on with how NatCen develop quesitons rather than interviews themselves.
Kirsty
