Transportation Arrangements: Volunteers are encouraged to travel with Snoqualmie Tribe staff members. If a tribal member has a vehicle suitable for off-road conditions, they may choose to use their privately owned vehicle at their own risk and expense.
Facilities: The Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Forest is in a remote wooded environment. Please plan accordingly for utilizing the wood line for personal business.
Food: Pack your own food and beverages for a full day – we like to snack in our truck and usually stop as a group for lunch
Cell Signal: VERY limited, plan on a day of being present in the woods

Objective(s):  Improve overall safety at STAF by installing road signs (navigation, emergency response, etc...), and providing an opportunity for tribal member engagement. Members of the Moses family will have the chance to place their family road signs at key intersections within STAF.

Wildlife: conduct amphib ASMT at Winter Lake and the blessing site and replace batteries in the cell cam. If time permits, we may walk the talus slope to conduct a small habitat ASMT.

1) check on the 3 installed loggers / download their data - replace any if needed

2) deploy the additional 3 loggers

3) investigate the road crossing that we collectively determined may be of interest. We will not bring out the total station - this is more of a gut check to determine if the crossing is worth inventorying at a future date.

4) investigate the crossing behind the connex to determine if this is a restoration opportunity.

5) collect eDNA for 'any salmonid' at selected sites. If this is the case Aaron will set up the GIS before we head out with assigned collection locations.

What : Leave ENR ~7am. Meet WFC (Jamie G, Aaron J, Joe X, maybe Paige) at mainline lower bridge. Divide into two teams for electrofishing to obtain fin clips from trout for genetic analyses. WFC will bring their company truck and an E-bike for “running shuttles” along established roads. Roads planned for driving on will be mainline, Monahan-Davis Road, Moses Road and Kanim Road.

Other notes: we will be sure to have all safety gear including shovel and extinguisher. I have already notified WFC they must have these in their vehicle. We will use the utmost fire precautions. We will take plenty of water to drink and stay hydrated.
