Acid rain is made when water droplets become acidic via being in a polluted atmosphere. Act rain happens in two ways, wet and dry. Wet deposition is when it removes the acid from the atmosphere to the earths surface by precipitation. Dry deposition is cause when there is a lack of rain, polluting particles and gases stay on the ground by smoke and dust. Acidity is measured in PH. This links into river environments as PH indicator is a measuring mechanism used in river skills. Acidic rain occurs in Northeastern USA, Southeastern Canada, Sweden and Norway.
