This series rekindled my love of reading. I think dystopian fiction is my favourtie genre, and this series really made me question who I would be in the situation these charachters find themselves in.

Mr Lynch - The Power of One

This was the book that got me engaged with reading. At Cessnock High we had to read for 15 minutes every morning. I struggled for a while to find a book that really captured my imagination until "The Power of One" came along. It had a focus on boxing which I loved but it was an incredible story of resilience and not giving up no matter how insurmountable the odds appear to be. When you finally find this type of book for you (there is at least one for everyone) you will find yourself completely captivated, not wanting to put it down. This book proved to me how much better books are rather than movies. The quality of the writing in this book transported me to South Africa and I felt like I was walking in the shoes of the characters.
