The more I understood what that meant, the less prepared and anxious I became each day. I knew that goofing around and not giving a care in the world would catch up to me in this new opportunity. But as the first day came I knew that just cause one door closed just meant that another opened and I was no longer anxious nor afraid.

On the last week of summer break we had gotten into a very silly but bad argument causing us to longer be friends. While this meant that the door on our friendship and our adventures had closed. It just meant that the new door that had opened was opened for new friendships and adventures.

This example relates to the theme because even thought that friendship had ended it just meant that more and new friendship would come.

The more I grew the more things I was taught to do by myself. I knew that I couldn't always rely on my mom even when I wanted to I knew that I had to face my problems myself. But I never knew that even when having responsibilities I could still have fun, I just needed to learn how to take care of myself.
