They never talked bad about other races, but did not condone hanging out with other races. it was an unspoken thing that everyone was separated, but it never made me feel like they were talking about them. just not talked about at all

We were taught to respect everyone, but sometimes that respect would not be reciprocated. I learned to be mindful of others and aware of my surroundings at all times.

I'll piggyback off of Obama's 2008 win. I was in college and heard some of the worst things said. I also know some of my black classmates have to deal with that backlash.

I've witnessed unequal sharing of funding for schools in the same district, unfair punishment, and distribution of certain students to certain teachers.

Zoning or districting of the elementary schools is when I realized students were not treated fairly.

When I started working in a predominately low income black title one school. I had to listen and learn to my colleagues and students to understand the culture

My dad's best friend was black, and his daughter was my best friend too. They came over often for cookouts, poker, etc. So I never heard anything inappropriate growing up.

I wish that my coworkers did not view me as privileged or that I grew up easy and never had to struggle. sometimes it felt like my feelings and beliefs were not valued because I was the loner in the room
