"Implements continuous improvements processes at all levels of the system."

Like the quote says, "All Means All." We must look at the child as a whole: academically, social emotionally, and behaviorally. We can't do this without teamwork. At our school, we have a group of motivated people who belong to our school P.B.I.S. (Positive, Behavioral, Intervention, System) Team. We meet once a month and look at data on how we can "improve the processes of the system," such as: student attendance, academic scores (NWEA), and behavior. We collaborate and come up with whole-school and classroom ideas. We share them out at staff meetings and as a school we implement them. We believe, as a staff, we are a team and know the importance of the needs of every child. We have a school logo, We Are Rattler S.T.R.O.N.G. (Strive for Excellence, Treat Others Kindly, Respect, On Task, Noble, and Good Judgement

MTSS

One way that the state of California envisions support for all students through MTSS is by “challenging all school staff to change the way in which they have traditionally worked across all school settings.” I particularly love this goal since the world and struggles our kids face are ever changing and so our school setting should be as well. It doesn’t benefit the student if we are stuck in our traditional ways, it benefits us. The implications of MTSS that I found to be most salient is that they are focused on all students, not just a select few. I admire that all of their goals impact all students in a positive way.
