         <title>PTSD</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Intellectually, I know that PTSD manifests itself in different ways. However, I still had a mindset about what PTSD "looks like." I envisioned things like hypervigilance, shutting down, lashing out, etc. I never realized that the symptoms associated with PTSD can effect physical health to the extent it can: i.e. the diabetes example in chapter 5. Further, I never thought of symptoms like depression, difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much, feeling emotional, etc. as PTSD. However, I see this link in myself when certain events happen around me. </p>]]></description>
