It’s so precious that is called “blue gold”. Recentely water demand has increased a lot. Fresh water is used for agricolture, industry and domestic use but we have to try to redice its consume. In the future population will grow so agricolture and breeding farm will require more and more of it. In the factories water is used to cool and wash machines. When it returns to nature it is polluted. We should follow some basic rules to save it and use water only when it’s necessary. 

We have to:

  • stay few minutes under the shower, 

  • close the tap when you brush your teeth or wash the dishes, 

  • water your garden with water you washed vegetables,

  • repair tap when it grips, 

  • use washing machine when it’s full, 

  •  wash your dishes in a dishwasher,

In this way everyone contributes to reduce its consume.

We learnt from TV bad news. We saw cars in the rivers, uprooted trees, and landslides. Some people died too. We are really worried for these events. We learn that water sometimes can be very dangerous because we can’t stop it.

That’s why some species of animal are in extintion. Pollution of water is due to acid rains because when it rains water reaches the groundwater and pollutes it. Industries and factories produce smoke and waste and they pollute air and water. Man sometimes leaves plastic bottles, plastic bags and papers that end up in the rivers or sea. We have to change this bad costume. Lately the global warming too has produced the change of the climate all over the world, so landscape has changed faster everywhere. We know some glaciers melt at the poles so the polar bear is in extintion.

Water is very important for life on our planet. 60% of our body is made of water. We use water everyday for drink, cook, do some housework, have shower and a lot of other things. In some countries there isn’t any water so people move from those areas. People sometimes have to walk so far to get water because they can’t cook, have shower and wash their clothes. For these reasons sometimes people die. In these countries there are a lot illness too. Water sometimes can be dangerous when there is a tsunami due to an earthquake or when it rains a lot there are floods. 

So we need to share water and learn to save it because all of us need it.

To survive people drink dirty or polluted water. Farming too is at risk so there is drought. The scarsity of water bring to the death of people, animals and plants. It sometimes cause fire, desertification, war for water and food. Recentely we have seen the fast change of climate on Earth caused by the global warming. Most of the glaciers at the poles are melting and sea level is raising. The copious rains produced floots on farming, houses and sometimes landslides. We should try to reduce the amount of water because it’s a precious gift for all living creatures. We must save water and use only the necessary quantity. For example turn the taps off when we wash our hands, teeth or have shower. These small actions/devices could help to save water.

Many people lost their houses and relatives, so some of them moved to other countries. Scientists can predict a tzunami only ten minutes in advance, so people don’t have enough time to save their lives. Other problems connected huge quantity of water are the terrible flooding of fields, rivers or lakes. Floods usually produce environmental disaster but there are also countries where people suffer for its scarsity.
