Charreria, an equestrian sport very similar to rodeo that incorporates cattle herding and bull riding. It has its originis in the states of Hidalgo and Jalisco during the latter part of the 19th century. It is a source of pride and tradition of mexican culture. His practice combines horse riding with various forms of Jaripeo, equestrian activities and traditional forms of livestock farming.

It makes sense that at the end of the game, the losing team's captain would behead the winning team's captain, after all, sacrifice means "to make sacred" and it was an honor to be sacrificed in ancient Maya culture. So it would only be fitting that the best player would be sacrificed. Played with a solid rubber ball, and heavy pads, the object of the game was to knock the ball with any part of the body except the hands through a stone scoring ring, although it was played by people from all levels of Maya society for fun, Pok-A-Tok was also used as a way to settle conflicts between warring groups and noblemen.
