The writer stated 'It towered thirty feet above' the verb 'towered' lets us know that the enormous creature was the most eye catching sight in the jungle, with great height making everything look not worthy in a way.
A personification was used as well 'great evil god' implying the T-Rex was the most power being in the jungle, certainly the most feared too.

A first look at the T-Rex had him speechless, with his huge body and his ability to kill as if it were throwing a ball, the impression of the T-Rex was somewhat impossible to kill, especially with just one man.

b) The writer describes Frye T-Rex in depth, giving a scale of his body, by using similes and adjectives. He describes how the monster interacts with the environment and imagery.
