I think SEL can have a huge impact on the school community, helping students think outside of themselves and care for those around them. SEL can help kids be successful students by giving them some tools to help them in social situations/problems and how to manage emotions.

But as an adult and from what I see with students now learning this curriculum- healthy boundaries, emotional regulation and awareness, healthy relationships, mindfulness, social awareness, and general increase in well-being and self expression/self awareness

May also help one learn to be introspective and identify what is important to them as they move through life. I do not recall receiving any SEL at my schools in the UK (they also do not have SC's there).
