He is in a concrete cell with one light and a large steel door. He notices the a metal cage around the light that he could use to get out. he tears off the metal cage and with the cage comes out three prongs. He decides to use the prongs to pick at the mortar, but after a while the prongs break. As the mortar starts to break he has to go deeper in the thick concrete with the prongs. His knuckles are full of blood and pain he never gave up, he needed to escape that room. His time was up and he was still in the room promising himself success if he had more time. I do know that I would not have checked the door because its just too simple. I think I would investigate the door hinges a bit more and possibly used the metal shield on the light to try and break that. Or maybe I would have tried to clear the mortar from my nails if it came down to it. I am a little bit claustrophobic so I would probably gone crazy in there especially if someone told me the door was unlocked the whole time! I think the man was smarter then just opening the door to have done what he did, I do not know any other option other then, yes opening the door.
