Teamwork Badge

Evidence 1- I cut out a piece of paper along with the rest of the class, however we had to make sure all of the pieces of paper were the same size in order to make an even blanket out of the paper, everyone drew their name and a picture on the papers along with something interesting about them. We then punched a hole in the pieces of paper and threaded string through them in order to hold all of the pieces of paper up together in order to create a blanket.

One thing that went well was that we were able to communicate and work together to get all of the papers the same sizes to make sure they all fit in the blanket.
One thing that didn't go so well and what we could work on is that it took us a few tries to get everyone with the same size piece of paper, with better leadership we might have gotten it done much quicker.

Teamwork Badge

Evidence 2- I worked in a team to create a group power point to then present to a full classroom. I worked in a group of 3 people who each had their own part to play in the creation of the power point. I was the team leader who made sure everyone was doing their part. and in the end we were able to create a good team power point that ended in a distinction.

one thing that went well was that everyone listened to what they were told by me and they all got on with their allocated tasks, while I got on with mine. which allowed us to complete the power point how we all envisioned it.

one thing that didn't go so well was that a few of us started to procrastinate which slowed down the PowerPoint finish date a lot and probably prevented us from completing a few more sections which could have improved our grade and credibility.

one thing I would do differently next time is check up on my team members more regularly to make sure we are all up to speed and doing are tasks without procrastinating, and if anyone is then try and help them to get through it together which would allow us to do much better next time.

Evidence 3- I worked as a team to play on my football team in order to help my local team win, I was a midfielder and it was important for me to get the ball to my team mates to help them score the goals and win, I also had to work with the defenders and stop the ball from going to our side of the field.

one thing that went well was that I was able to help the team win and that was a good thing because they all took us to a nice restaurant after to celebrate.

one thing i would do differently is train more because I let a few goals go past me and that cost us a few points however we still won at least, but it was very lucky.

Enrolment Badge

I was previously enrolled to a sports course at college, but I didn't enjoy it that much, so I applied to a different course at the end of that year, that being for public services
I spoke to Chris in a small room deciding which part of the course I wanted to join, I then had an interview with another teacher later in the year where I was then fully enrolled in the course

One thing that went well was that it was pretty easy to re-enrol since I had all of my details already on the college systems, so I didn't have to do much apart from confirm I wanted to be on this course
I did have a small problem with the enrolment, I didn't realise results from the last course had come out and I was supposed to upload them to the system, however it was sorted out by Tom Bridges and I got enroled
One thing I would do better next time is make sure I am more prepared and have everything uploaded and ready like I was supposed to.

explain the activity
what went well
what would you change

I completed about 32 hours of voluntary clean-up around my home town which resulted in a cleaner environment. I did this with a group of people I have never met before however we worked together to clean up parks, car parks, lakes, rivers, and public sidewalks. We did this to benefit the community and ourselves since we didn't want to keep walking through trash that the council refuse to remove.

To improve we could have put a little bit more effort in, we would leave a small amount of trash in areas that took extra effort to reach or need multiple people to move, and we rushed the job when we got a little bit bored.

I worked at gist for nearly 3 years starting August 2021 working between 2 and 4 days every week along side of college. When holidays came around I would work bonus days as well. Each shift was between 6 and 8 hours and sometimes going up to 12. I would start between 6am and 8am and finish between 2pm and 6pm depending on the volume of stuff available. I work in a team between 15 and 30 people moving produce in a fridge factory all day. We are expected to move 150 trays per hour with my average being around 160-180. There is no bonus for moving more than 150 per hour but I just stay around that level.

One thing that goes well about it, is that I get up early in the morning to get there on time to work before doing the rest of my day with what I need. The job gives me a chance to be disciplined since I need to be there on time.

One thing I could do better is going to bet a a lot earlier which would give me a better nights sleep ready for the day ahead, that way I could be less grobby throughout the day.
