I am comparing 2 sections of Intermediate Spanish II using an OER textbook and two sections using a commercial textbook.
I do not have many students in this study, so I would like to run it again in the Fall and offer students extra credits so that I can increase the number of participants. I have already created 3 surveys for it, but I am willing to revise them based on your suggestions. I have already been approved with an IRB, so it is a matter of adding and modifying things.

Looking for: collaborators to run the study and write an article or two. Potentially, we could also run the study at your University if you want.

Abstract: This study aims to measure the impact of an OER (Open Educational Resources) textbook on students’ outcomes. This study will compare four different sections of Intermediate Spanish II(SPAN:1502) taught at the University of Iowa during the Spring semester of 2022. Two sections will be using two OER textbooks designed at The University of Iowa for Intermediate Spanish II; the first one called Salón de clase, Intermediate Spanish for Education Professionals, and the second one called: Maletín medico, Intermediate Spanish for Healthcare Professionals. One of the two OERtextbooks can be accessed freely at the following link: https://pressbooks.uiowa.edu/salondeclase/The other textbook (Maletín medico) that is an adaptation of Salón de clase can be accessed at the following link: https://pressbooks.uiowa.edu/spanishforhealthcare/; the content of this textbook is currently kept private since it has not been published yet. The participants of this study will have free access to it. The other two sections will be using a traditional textbook called Protagonistas and published by Vista. This study will use a combination of self-reported data by the students collected throughout the semester and by analyzing their performance in the classroom.
Data for this study will be collected through 3 Qualtrics surveys administered at the beginning of thesemester, mid-semester, and at the end of the semester during Spring 2022. Additionally, the student'sgrade will be used to compare the performances of the two groups.

Looking for authors that will create 1 lesson each or more. I have been postponing this project for a while, but I would like to start working on it ASAP and have it ready and use it starting Spring 2023.
