Amidst the tensions, economic experts predicted that that export rates would fall by as much as 2% on July 2019, but the figure actually rose by 3.3%

Due to an ongoing trade dispute with the US in which the presidents branded China a 'currency manipulator', China is being affected by imposed duties on products exported to the US from September 1st.

Since the breakdown of negotiations regarding trade, the two countries are now at loggerheads, with no sign of any improvement in sight. Some experts now report that the two countries are in a currency war since the value of the yuan dropped sharply as a result of the US duties.

As a result of the Chinese Yuan being weaker than the dollar, many products made in China are extremely affordable and popular in western markets.

China is well known for exporting products such as computer parts, mechanical equipment, and high tech products on mass. According to an article on commodity.com, official estimates put Chinese annual exports in the region of $1.904 trillion.

The current situation begs the question, what effect will the current political situation have on Chinese exports? However, only time will tell whether China's export market may continue to thrive in the months to come and prove the economists wrong once again.
