Topics: Bring a little more awareness to diversity on campus and appreciation of our campus population. Disability and special needs and how maybe our campus should be more accessible to those that may have need to move about campus on wheelchairs or if they are hard of hearing maybe having signs on campus. Since our campus is heavily hispanic just brining more awareness to how DACA is a way for so many undocumented students to get an opportunity to receive a good education.

We would like our mural to be an inspiration to all students and as a reminder that our campus should be a space where they feel safe to be who they are. We are all on campus to receive an education and no one should be singled out or face a disadvantage because of how they look or what they may represent. 

What impact do you want it to have? We would like for our mural to have a long lasting and positive impact on our community. To serve as a reminder that diversity is welcomed in education and that we are all the same.

Not Anymore
Topic: Consent
With the "Not Anymore" trainings that every students needs to take yearly, we believe that we should have a mural that reminds students that consents is very important and it's okay to say no. Bringing awareness normalizes saying, no.

How would you want this mural to be received by the campus community?
We would want the campus community to feel safe when the view the mural and understand that everyone has the right to say no at any given time. We also want the campus community to understand when consent can and can't be given.

3. King Hall where the lecture halls are located (it will help make the empty wall colorful, plus Rehabilitation Services and COMD are located in that building, so it would be a great way to support those two majors)

How do we want the campus community to receive the mural?: We hope that the mural will encourage students to take action and advocate for the addition of accommodations for their peers with disabilities. Furthermore, we hope it will bring awareness to the community of disabilities and allow students and faculty to be mindful and considerate of these members.

Impact: We hope that the mural will show the university community's solidarity and consideration of students with disabilities, as we want them to know that there are supports in place to help them succeed. Additionally, we hope this will encourage the addition of further accommodations on campus for students with disabilities.
