The way how detailed this module on explaining it, made me realize that it is very complex.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>First discussion: First, I learned about the history of genetics here. Were it to begin with preformationism, then epigenesis,to the discovery of the microscopy, then Lamarck's theory of use and misuse and theory of acquired characteristics, then natural selection theory, the germaplasm theory, and Gregor Mendel's Law of segregation and Independent assortment. The law of segregation states that only one allele is passed down from both parents. The law of independent assortment states that genes of different traits do not affect each other. I also learned that it was Karl Nester who pioneered genetic modification of an organism, not Mendel, because he performed a hybridization in a sheep. But Mendel rose to prominence after studying the hybridization of 29, 000 pea plants.&nbsp;<br><br>First discussion:I also learned about the various allelic interactions here. The first is complete dominance, in which the dominant allele masks the recessive allele. The second type of dominance is incomplete dominance, which occurs when the recessive allele is not masked by the dominant allele. The third type of dominance is co-dominance, which occurs when the genes lack both dominance and recessiveness. Finally, over dominance occurs when gene expression exceeds the normal measurement. Another thing I learned from this discussion is about the Non-Allelic Interaction. It is consist of the novel phenotype, recessive epistasis, dominant epistasis, complementary genes, and duplicate genes.&nbsp;<br><br>Second discussion: Here I learned about the central dogma of molecular biology. It began with the interphase: G1 stage, during which protein production increases in preparation for use in DNA replication. The next stage is DNA replication, in here DNA is trying to create a new DNA. It begins with initiation, then elongation, and finally termination. Following that, it enters another interphase, which is interphase:G2 stage, in here the protein is synthesized for cell division. After the interphase,&nbsp; it moves on to RNA transcription, in here the DNA creates RNA. It begins with the pre-initiation phase, then moves on to initiation, elongation, and termination. After RNA transcription, the anti-codon attached to mRNA is translated to the specific amino acid for expression, this known as RNA translation. Here, the mRNA will be converted into amino acid stands, which will be combined to form a complex protein.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
