Please reflect on the Learning Journey at Roomraider using the following questions:

1) What did I learn about myself through this activity?
2) What did I discover about my teammates?
3) How can I apply this learning to my work?

Also learnt that I perspire under pressure!

2) I enjoyed working with my fellow team members very much, because each one brought their best skills forward. Nirmala was very calm under pressure, and very systematic! She was able to think clearly and suggest all the different number combinations to open the locks. Simon was very sharp and observant, and helped us find many hidden clues, including one on the outside wall that we could not see. David was very steady and deliberative, often stepping back to observe the bigger picture and offering good suggestions when we got stuck!

3) I

1) I realised that when other people are crowding together on solving a problem (e.g. trying to get the lock to turn and unlock), I have the tendency to take a step back and go check for possible new clues at other areas. Probably because I thought it would be more useful as 'too many cooks spoil the soup'!
2) i discover that each of us has our own strengths and if we work together with a common goal, we can really complement each other especially in areas where one may be weak in. (I concur with what Sheh Feng said about herself and the teammates)
3) if everyone put in effort and work together, we will eventually achieve the target (of course sometimes, it may take a bit longer than the given time)

3) As our work gets more complex, we sometimes need to take a step back to regroup, and to tap on each other's expertise or experience. We don't have all the answers by ourselves, but when in a team, we can help each other solve the problems.

(1) I find myself trying to contribute to the mystery-solving but I was rather disappointed with myself when I was unable to help unlock the padlock 🔐. I know that I won’t be able to make it through the activity without the help of my team mates. 🆘🔎
(2) So blessed to hv ‘dedicated’ team mates. Never once did I hear anyone wanting to give up. Everyone just keeps trying. 😅 No one acting like the ‘boss’ and no passive member too. Everyone just keeps trying. We work on each others’ strengths. 💃🏽🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏽
(3) it’s evident how this activity can relate to work; TEAMWORK. Everyone just needs to do their part to contribute towards the common shared goals. 🤩💯

I discovered my innate drive to do well, to solve problems despite all the setbacks we faced. I was determined to solve the puzzles and could only see things from a few angles by myself. However, from everyone's help and various perspectives in the group, we were able to explore different ways and even solve a tough puzzle with the shredded email, news article, and pepperoni pizza coded safe. This reflected the importance of being a team-player, as going solo is always more vulnerable than having a team one can depend on, learn from and strengthen each other in times of need.

1) I learnt that I enjoy the challenges that the problem solving provides, and it is exciting when everyone on the team is also working to try and crack the puzzle.
2) I learnt that different members approach the same puzzle in different ways. For example, while Syahira and Peggy might work at trying all possible combinations of the code, Fauzi and Mr Lee might be looking around the room to see what else we might have missed. Having different team members approaching the same puzzle in different ways increases our chances of success.
3) This use of different perspectives to improve success applies to our work too. As an individual, we may have blind spots, but as a team, we can help each other cover these blind spots by providing our unique expertise and strengths. In doing so, we are more likely to do well as a team.

Personally I discovered my weakness in thinking out of the box. In fact i did not understand the clues and was clueless on how to contribute.

1) I learnt that teamwork plays a great part in achieving success and every team member's contribution is important.
2) I would not have solved the puzzle without my team's collaborative effort. First we were a small team trying to get out of the gate and then we combined as one big group to escape from the door. It's similar in our department. We are 4 small units but we will be able to achieve success if we collaborate together and persist.
