I think its very obvious dirt might be more alive than we are.

I found this quote important because it explains the life energy that dirt has. Dirt gives us life through plants, trees, agriculture. Dirt contributes to every form of life from the smallest insect to the largest animals. Without the possibility for plants, lifeforms living on land would not be able to sustain themselves. There wouldn't be the possibility for civilizations to thrive and grow without dirt.

When humans arrived 2 million years ago everything changed for dirt and from that moment on the fate of dirt and humans has been infinitely linked.

This quote was important because it sheds light on the very important link between the human race, and the very dirt we came from. Dirt not only lead to the evolution of humans, it also lead to the very creation of civilizations, and towns, and countries. When agriculture was created, populations became rooted to the land they lived on, and therefore became communities that turned into towns and the nations of today's world.

We take this dirt for granted because its there, its everywhere.

I found this quote to be important because as a whole the world has been taking advantage of the earth in large ways. We have exploited the dirt for its resources and caused major pollution that spans most of the globe. We as the human race do not respect the life source that dirt is for us, and therefore disrespect it with our waste and sewage, causing the earth to become a place of eco-devastation.

In this city there's actually no dirt, everything is pretty much concrete.

I think this was an important quote because it sheds light on the root of the issue. More and more cities have become concrete jungles as they say, and they get larger and larger every year. The population of these places grow, the more they grow, the more people aren't experiencing nature, the disconnect widens and the lack of respect for horticulture grows with it. People are no longer seeing gardening, or the roots of the trees beneath the concrete therefore they lose respect for it.

What we give back to the soil, what we do to recycle our waste, and give to the soil is what is going to sustain us.

I found this important because it presents a solution to the problem of pollution and eco-devastation. This quote makes you realize your own impact on the environment and forces you to reconsider what you do with your waste, as well as how you can give back to the environment and reduce your carbon footprint, in order to better the world as a whole.
