From Irina:
There care different students in the class and different teachers.
Sometimes what you think to be wrong is just the same truth only from a different angle, do not be so categorical! Allow yourself to think out of the box and learn from your students!
Teachers also make mistakes, but should have courage to admit that in front of the students

From Ina Barbalat:
While watching this video I remembered the movie “Divergent”, the idea is that people are divided into groups according to their skills or characteristics and those, which can’t be included in any of these categories, are divergent, the film shows their struggle for life.

Returning to the video, I think the idea is – teachers should encourage students’ creativity. It teaches us to be aware about how we should evaluate students who think differently from the others.

If you are thinking like the others, you will be like an insignificant brick on the wall, but if you accept the challenge and express your thoughts differently, you will become special. If all the people will think in the same way, the original ideas will disappear.

We should not run an education system based on standardization and conformity that suppresses individuality, imagination, and creativity.

This film displays the dark sides of a teacher. Unfortunately, there are cases like this one and it is a frustrating reality.

This video remembers me Albert Einstein’s words: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
Actually, the film has a deep meaning, which emphasizes the absurdity of using a single inflexible standard for assessing the achievement of each individual student. The student’s performance was counted a demerit, as it had not been done in the prescribed way. In this way schools/some teachers come to kill students’ creativity and even their future.
The central point is that each individual should be allowed to pursue his or her strengths; each individual should be allowed to develop his/her ideas and personality; each individual should be allowed to be “BBCB”, to be the best he/she can be!

"The red brick"
"See beyond the means" - that`s the first idea I had. The movie points out the strong differences in people`s background, ways of learning, thinking and interpreting the world. We have the right to develop our ideas and personality in a way to be unique, that makes the difference. Teachers have to appreciate/evaluate each effort and encourage students to be creative, to be the best they can be.
