But he made the decision to overcome his situation and have a happy, meaningful life. His narrative shows us that, with the correct frame of mind and attitude, we are capable of conquering any challenge of life. I also have learned the value of accepting oneself from Nick's tale. Nick gained the ability to love and accept himself despite his physical limitations. He refused to allow his limitations confine or define him.
