         <description><![CDATA[<div>An anti-virus is a software or a set of programs that are made to search, prevent and destroy viruses or any malicious software.<br><br>There are designed to scan through specific files for any malware, allows the user the schedule when the search needs to take place, allow the user to make the software to scan through a specific file, remove any harmful files that can cause harm to the system and show the health of the computer.<br><br>It is essential that the user has a anti-virus software downloaded on their computer and that it it also up to date because without one, the computer can become infected very quickly once to computer is connected to the Internet. It is also important the anti-virus software makers update their software because there are over 60,000 new malware being created daily.<br><br>It is important that the user has a anti-virus software installed on all device that connect to the internet. These devices may be computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The use of permissions (Read, write and execute within Linux)<br><br><strong>Read Permissions within Linux:<br></strong>The read permission is conveyed two main parts, each of which is conveyed through a different character. If one character is in effect, the '-' character, the file cannot be read, whereas if the 'r' character is in effect, the directory's contents cannot be read/shown. <br><br><strong>Write Permissions within Linux: <br></strong>The write permission is conveyed in two characters, the '-' character and the 'w' character. If a '-' character is present, then what this means is that the file cannot be modified and if present within directories, the directories contents cannot be modified. If the character 'w' is present, then the file can be modified. If this is present for directories, then the directory's contents can be modified, for example creating new files or folders, renaming or deleting existing files or folders, however, if the execute permission is not set, this permission has no effect.<br><br><strong>Execute permissions within Linux:<br></strong>The execute permission contains six characters to be used. The first of which, is the '-' character. If a file has this permission, the file cannot be executed and the directory cannot be accessed with cd.&nbsp;If the file has the 'x' character, the file can be executed, and the directory may be accessed with cd.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Windows itself has a firewall which can be turned on or off alongside a normal firewall, To turn Windows Firewall on or off, select the Start&nbsp; button, open Windows Defender Security Center then click Firewall &amp; network<strong> </strong>protection, choose a network profile, and then under Windows Firewall, turn it on or off.<br><br>Mac OS X includes an application firewall you can use to control connections made to your computer from other computers on your network. OS X v10.5.1 and later include an application firewall you can use to control connections on a per-application basis. This makes it easier to gain the benefits of firewall protection, and helps prevent undesirable apps from taking control of network ports open for legitimate apps.<br><br>Linux as well comes with a default built in firewall with the OS system called Ubuntu, it is called ufw which stands for uncomplicated firewall.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Security refers to the protection to the computer system resources such as the CPU, memory, disk, software programs and the data stored in the computer. The inbuilt security features that every operating system provides are; Authentication, one time passwords, program threats, system threats and computer security classifications.&nbsp;<br>Authentication refers to the identifying of the user via one of the three ways; username / password, user card / key and fingerprint / eye recognition / signature. One time passwords is a unique password that is required every time the user tries to login into the system. Examples of one time passwords are; random numbers, secret key and network passwords. Program threats this is if the users program made to do a malicious tasks this is known as program threat. Computer security classifications are part of the U.S. Department of Defense and there are four security classifications A, B, C and D. System threats refers to misuse of system services and network connections to put user in trouble. System threats can be used to launch program threats on a complete network called as program attack.</div>]]></description>
