A visual calendar is a calendar that contains pictures of daily events. This visual calendar is used as a reminder of current events and events in the future. I choose this calendar to communicate what major event is occurring or happening in the future. I would use this in the home to help decreases frustration when changes in routines occur such as going to the dentist.

This visual is an individual students’ reminder of the expectation to use a quiet voice in the classroom. I choose this visual because often students with ASD may require visual reminders when having challenging behaviors. I like how this visual incorporated a reward for using a quiet voice. I would use this on the students’ desk and post daily rewards that can be earned, such as extra computer or recess. I like how this visual incorporated a reward for using a quiet voice.

Task Analysis

Task analysis is taking a multistep skill and breaking it down into smaller sequential steps. I made this task analysis to guide students through the steps of rounding numbers. I used this task analysis to teach rounding in the third  grade classroom. The students learned to complete the task one step at a time and used the card to assist them in completing practice assignments.
