I think the idea of attacking people can become apparent for example when talking about my feelings as an African-American person. Often times I get the reaction that I'm being dramatic or just angry or even told that it's "not that bad" . The poor and/or the uneducated were (and still are) discriminated against, from the ancient slaves, to the medieval serfs, the peasants, the new industrial poor, and modern gig economy workers. Sometimes I fear talking about topics or defending/fighting for equality and equity because I feel that people judge me for the stereotypes that are associated with so many of the "privileged" ethnicities I am a part of (ex. racist, ignorant, elitist, etc.).
