working with rosemary and the group one was very new to me as I am not used to that type of environment however within a short space of time I warmed to the task. we started of the day with a few vocal and physical warm ups including 'splat' and 'harry potter' we also did some facial exercises to relax and relieve our muscles. after this we then did some tongue twisters. I found this exercise extremely helpful with pronunciation an projection. using a focus point to then project our voice across the room we had to say the tongue twisters and gradually change dynamic. I think this exercise was really helpful. After this I was given a poem and a list of words to start practising ready to see where I could slot myself in to the performance. I watched what the group had devised few times and caught up pretty quickly in the space of others absence and with my own lines which had previously been scraped however were now allocated to me. others then decided to split some of their lines with me so I had more lines and more of a chance to preform.

in day two of home we went over the techniques we had done previously and started to rehearse our piece. I filled in for some of those who were absent. through out the day we added a scene which showed one of the most iconic parts of Milton Keynes. the idea was about the tree at the heart of Milton Keynes and the uproar it caused when this tree was decleared dead. we devised the scene and used the vocal techniques in the piece. we also used physical theatre to create the tree and showed contrast in the scene between the business between getting rid of the tree and Milton Keynes citizens who were devastated by the news. this gave us more of a chance to show the contrast in Milton Keynes and there is a personality to all parts of Milton Keynes. it was really nice that an idea that was made by a student was so openly put towards the group and used in the piece rather than keeping to a strict play

on the third day of this project we were put with the dancers and given our dress code for the performance. at first we weren't too happy with a few of the changes that were mad as we thought some of the flow of the performance was lost however after doing a dress rehearsal of the piece we soon realised that the changes that were made were very beneficial and helped us a lot. it was fantastic to work as a big group and to be able to put our piece that started small in to a large performance that we could all do together

our last day was hard. we did a very long day which involved tedious tweaking and countless repeats of the same scene however this was all essential to our performance. in the morning we started by warming up our vocals and getting our voices prepared for the show we then did a physical warm up to make sure we were ready to move around. we then sorted out our routines around the obstacles in the room and made sure that our performance as not on top of the audience. we repeated the whole performance countless times just to make sure that our timing and space was perfect. it was a very long day however it went pretty fast and we all understood that this is a fundamental to being a performer . when it was time we did our performance and we were all very pleased with the way it went and how in such a small space of time we had managed to create a piece that we were able to perform to an audience
