Things I learned about the Treacher Collins Syndrome is that it affects the development of bones and other tissue in the face. Such as underdeveloped cheek bones and a very small chin. Sometimes children born with the Treacher Collins Syndrome can have a cleft palate, which is an abnormality in the mouth that causes the palate to split apart. People with the Treacher Collins Syndrome often have slanted eyes, and unusually formed ears. In severe cases the syndrome can affect the airway and cause severe problems in the future.

It affects cheek bones, jaw, chin and ear. Some times people with Treacher Collins Syndrome have a loss of hearing because their three ear bones are smaller than they are supossed to be. Only 20,000 cases in the United States each year. People can have a cleft eye and also obstructions in their throats.

I learned that Treacher Collins Syndrome has no cure and if you have it then you are stuck with it forever. Treacher Collins Syndrome also causes downward slanting eyes and a deformed facial muscles, bones and tissue. It can also cause you to have a small jaw and chin. Treacher Collins Syndrome can also cause breathing and feeding difficulties. Treacher Collins Syndrome can also form external and middle ears. When, you have Treacher Collins Syndrome you will have undeveloped cheekbones and a undeveloped jaw. The genes that get passed on from person to person cause Treacher Collins Syndrome. Treacher Collins Syndrome was discovered in 1862 all the way to 1932 by a person named Edward Treacher Collins and he has this disease or Syndrome. If you have Treacher Collins Syndrome then you can have a loss of eyesight and a loss of hearing. Over 20,000 people get it per year in the U.S alone! Treacher Collins Syndrome can also cause some serious problems in the future if you have it. There are a lot of people that have it. Treacher Collins Syndrome can change your life and your lifestyle. Many people have it and they don't know what it is like to not have it because they had it all their life. Many people have this disorder. Lots of people that have this disease are lonely because people don't want to be friends with them because they look different. People stare at these people because they are mean ot they are curious on what they have or what kind of disorder they have. Treacher Collins Syndrome can also lead to a speech impediment when they talk because there jaw is small and deformed. One more fact about Treacher Collins Syndrome is that you can get right when you are born and you might have to have a surgery if it is bad or you might need to have it looked at. Also if you have it you can get other anomalies such as cleft palate. These are some of the facts I researched on Treacher Collins Syndrome.
