Dear Amanda, Since we have seen you during the investiture of Joe Biden, we have been very proud so we would be very honored to have you in our company. We would like you to come in our company, we dare to think it would be very interesting having you to inspire and motivate our employees and teams. For us, poetry is something very important, it is an art made to reunite people and an art in which you excel. And since we relocate, we need someone to bring back people together as a family. As a company, it seems like we share the same values of American patriotism and it will ascend the company. In a crisis like COVID-19, where our interactions as human beings are more and more difficult, we need someone to reconnect whit each other’s. I’m writing you this email because we would like you to speak in a workshop to talk to our employees. Could you please call me before next week to discuss about this? It would be great if you could be there 31th of January, hoping it will suit with your schedule. My sincerest regards, Orange company.inc, Karen Smith, CEO of Orange company.

There are two ways of doing business, by cooperation or by competition. I do believe it is a huge issue for firms to either agree on some politics or to challenge each other. In my point, the key to success is cooperation because we need each other's as human beings to reach our goals in life. By helping each other, we create a strong solidarity, and therefore we can easily step forward. Despite the benefits of cooperation, it also has some flaws as well as competition. So, the subject we will tackle in this essay is whether success comes from a cooperating system or a competing one.

Life became very different with the virus, and we are all nostalgic for the travels we could do before. These trips have allowed us not only to discover new landscapes, but also to get to know new cultures.Australia has a very different culture from Turkey, which has a very different culture from the United States. So, are cultures becoming similar? We will see that if in many countries the cultures are very similar, in others they are opposite.

I’ve lived in China for 2 years and I noticed that even if big cities have been impacted by globalisation, customs remain unchanged. Indeed, Chinese people are used to buying clothes from big occidental brands but they also want to keep their Chinese identity. For example by not celebrating western celebrations even when they are in a western country.I also traveled to Sri Lanka, a country in South Asia like China. It is difficult to know if the cultures of this country are becoming like the ones of western countries, because they are very different from these ones. I could observe during the meals in Sri Lanka that they often brought me international food, like italian pasta mixed with local soup, cooked by them. It is kind of crazy, it shows that even though they want to stick to their culture, they are melting with the european culture. In a way, culture's barriers are more and more falling apart. However, when I went there I could feel a real wish to keep their cultures remained and transmitted to tourists. I also have family in Catalunya and catalan people show well that some people want to keep their own culture . The main example of this desire to be unique is that in Catalunya, kids learn catalan at school even if it’s not the official language of their country. They also push back the spanish culture even if they are spanish because they want to reinforce the catalan culture so we can even say that they are against globalization of the culture.

In a world where everybody wants to be successful we need something to diferenciate us from another. For exemple, we need to do an internship in april, but we know nothing about companies and how to have a job or an internship, because of that, we need to talk to our friends or relatives to find someone who can help us finding a job. How useful can be your social network ? Having a social network is the essence of a human being. Indeed, during the socialization you start constructing a group of mates and develop relationships. Networking isn't merely the exchange of information with others (and it's certainly not about begging for favors). Networking is about establishing and nurturing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with the people you meet, whether you're waiting to order your morning coffee, participating in an intramural sports league, or attending a work conference. Experts agree that the most connected people are often the most successful. When you invest in your relationships (professional and personal) it can pay you back in dividends throughout the course of your career. Networking will help you develop and improve your skill set, stay on top of the latest trends in your industry, keep a pulse on the job market, meet prospective mentors, partners, and clients, and gain access to the necessary resources that will foster your career development. As you network with people at your company, in your industry, and even outside your field of interest, you'll uncover opportunities to connect with different types of mentors and advisors, increase your visibility with senior management, further develop your areas of expertise, and improve your soft skills. Are relationships necessary in order to succeed ? Depending on the area you’re working in, relationships are extremely important. For example, in the business field, you often have to sollicitate. It is more than just a professional meeting or talking about your business. It is building your community, getting involved in it, and understanding the mutual needs of your connections. It also generates better results as more interactions and conversations are possible. Networking provides substantial support in the form of your network, which also broadens your professional reach. There is no doubt why it has gained much attention in recent times. The advancement in technology and the constant shift in the global landscape has added to the popularity of networking as an effective measure to succeed professionally.

I will argue it is here that we reach the limits of globalization.

To do international business it is necessary to be open-minded. Any businessperson who does business abroad must adapt to the country their visiting. As I saw in class in a case study about Japan, Americans have a tendency to be laid back and casual no matter the situation. Indeed, I read that an American came to a business gathering organized by his boss without giving much attention the way he was dressed. When his colleagues were talking about the company and staying professional, he offered to go get drinks from his boss’ fridge and didn’t understand his faux pas when everyone stared at him. What this shows is that adapting to the people you’re working with remains essential. While globalization has much importance nowadays countries still preserve their own identities.
Clémence Lebas, Cyrielle Bloy, Nour Ibrahim, Grégoire Barral

Zachary S, Raphaël T, Clara S, Alice G Subject: Are cultures becoming alike? Our point of view: Different and small cultures are not disappearing Introduction: Globalization has a powerful impact. Moreover, the American way of life in particular has become widespread. Its mainstream culture is crushing smaller cultures. And yet, I will argue, non-dominant cultures are putting up a resistance. Let's take the case of the English language and its current hegemony. Even if English is universally used, countries still want to protect their own language. In Ireland for example Gaelic is taught in schools to ensure its longevity. Let us remember that English is a colonial language for the Irish. The two languages coexist but the Irish culture is fostered by this protection of Gaelic.
