I have been keeping up with my singing lesson attendance, I believe my attendance this year is the best so far, I have been enjoying my time with Jack

A problem I encountered throughout the 2nd half of the year was having my lesson at 9:15AM, this was a struggle for me because I find it very difficult to sing in the mornings. I helped this by warming up more before my lesson and also asking to do a quick warmup in lesson to make sure I didn't do any vocal damage.

One of my goals was to improve my vocal placement, lifting the soft palate, opening the throat and controlling the larynx as these are techniques I find difficult, I have improved this by doing exercises I found an working with Jack. these exercises include yawning, puffy cheeks, doing a "silent breath" with the diaphragm and making sure my breath is supported and my feet are grounded with soft knees

I have also been making sure to incorporate tension releasing stretches and massages to my cheeks, neck, shoulders, head, lips and tongue. I have learnt a lot about tension when singing from this module and ATS and it has been very useful to incorporate these techniques

Rather than focus on a couple of songs this year, I have sung a large number of songs in my singing lessons, in an attempt to enhance my range of abilities in singing. I have put the voice notes of sing-throughs my lessons in here but unfortunately I do not have multiple recordings of the same song during my lessons, I have substituted these by recording myself singing using a piano accompaniment or instrumental track from YouTube for the chosen songs
