The line graph shows data about the way of communication that teenagers in the age group from 12 to 19 in a stage in the United Stage of America chose to used between november 2006 and september 2009.
As can be seen,the percentage of teenagers who prefered to use text messages, call on cell phones and meet face- to - face rose, while the propotion of teenagers used email dropped rapidly. Email was the kind of communication that was used the least and continued to fall considerably.
In november 2006, around 34% of teenagers chose to call on cell phones, compared to less than a third of teens who met face-to-face. In a period of 1 year: from november 2006 to the same month in 2007, the proportion of people aged 12 -19 prefered to call by cell phones increased slightly,by 2%, while the % of teenager used face-to-face communication went up sharply and reached the peak in 2007.From 2007 to 2009, young people aged 12-19 chose to call on cell phones continued to rose slowly, by nearly 5%,while the same group of people met face-to-face fluctuated.
The proportion of teenagers used email in november 2006 were 15%, compared to nearly 30% who chose to send text messages. Between 2006 and 2007, the % of people in the age group 12-19 used email and text messages increased, with nearly 20% used email and about 38% texted. From november 2007 to september 2009, the proportion of teenagers wrote email went down slightly and hit the bottom in 2009 with one in ten teen used this type of communication. By contrast, the % of the same group of people used text messages rosed considerably and reached a peak.

Overall, juvenile usage of communicating methods had developed steadily through time, eventhough some major changes was witnessed over February 2008 and September 2009.

The percentage of adolescents using direct communication, signal phone call and networking paragraph are approximately 30%, while the percentage of adolescents using email are roughly half that of the other three methods on November 2006.  Between November 2006 and November 2007, while email signal phone call were increasing slowly by roughly 3%, text messaging and direct communication were witnessing a considerable growth; On November 2007 direct communication had hit the ceiling at 40%. 

From November 2007 to September 2009, signal phone call had been gradually increasing at the same pace as the previous period, on the other hand, email had gradually dropped to slightly above 15% at February 2008 then dropped down to 10% at September 2009. At the same time, text messaging had been having a rapid increment up to around 55% over the period of Febrary 2008 and September 2009, while directed communication had been fluctuating at around 30% to 40% then hit slightly below 35% at September 2009.

 Apparently, text messages is the most developed way of communication, Emailing had always been the least common platform even after a period of 3 years, talking eyeball-to-eyeball is the most fluctuating way in the list and calling each other via cellphone is the most stable type of contacting. 

First off, talking about emailing, it had been the least used type of communication as It started in 2006 with just 15% of teenagers, it seems like the efficiency of its is not very nice since the figure ended up not rising any but dropped to 10% after a slight increase in 2007. Next up is the platform of face-to-face, the percentage fluctuated clearly as it started at 32% in 2006, then went considerably to 40% in 2007 before dropping sharply to 30% in 2008 and finished

About text messages, the most amazing way of communicate in the list, it started at 28% in 2006, the figure improved to 38% in 2007 before a marginal increase in 2008 and finished the race persuasively with a rocket in 2009. And last but not least, talking through cellphones. It is clearly that the it’s the most stable and gradual one out of all as the percentage didn’t have any significant increase nor decrease. The proportion gradually went up from 35% and reached its peak at 40% in 2009, there was no certain period of time that it dropped nor improved

People have different views about the role of the internet. Many believe that internet is one of the best kinds of communication, while others think internet is the main cause of lack in communication skills. Although the second point is reasonable to some extend, I largely agree with the first one.
One the one hand, internet is believed to have a bad effect on our communication skills. First of all, internet can affect our written communication. You can use emoji and write words in short form when texting or posting anything on the internet- this explain why nowadays students often lack in words when writing long easays. For example, when I was in grade 6 , I wrote words in short form in my test as the way I did on the internet, and the result was I lost 1 point for 1 word, and I even didn’t know what word should I use to parapharse a sentence. Secondly,internet prevents us from communicating face-to-face to other people, and this may lead to really serious consequences in your future career as well as in your life. Without communicating, you will always feel lonely and can’t succeed in your work. For instance, my primary friend-who was really smart and has won many maths competitions; however; he always stuck to his smartphone and never talked anything to his classmates, and finally he failed the interview round to his dream school because he had no communication skills. 
On the other hand, I think internet is an amazing way to communicate and helps us a lot in our life. Firstly, internet is really convenient because there are many websites and applications that can help us with our work and study. For example, if you want to have the answer for a question, the websites on the internet can help you within a second. Moreover, during the covid 19 pademic, students can use many applications to continue their study and do tests. Next, one of the biggest advantages of the internet is keeping in touch with other people. For instance,during the pademic last year, thanks to the internet, I could interact with my teachers and friends easily,I could also chat to my best friends, follow their social media sites after leaving secondary school and keep our friendship alive.
In conclusion, despite the fact that internet can affect our communication skills badly, it still has many benefits that help us in our work and life.
