         <description><![CDATA[<p>Trip Journal</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>The evolution of technology<br><br></mark></strong>Students may work in groups, if it is a large group, and choose a digital technology (per group) to do research on and make predictions about the future of it. They are going to display their results on an exhibition. Students must bring visual aids, and, if possible, examples of the technological devices they may talk about.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>Tips:</em></p><ul><li><p><em>Encourage students to think critically about the use of artificial intelligences and to find parallels with the technologies they will talk about.&nbsp;</em></p></li><li><p><em>Promote the use of a technology, of the group's choice,&nbsp; to register the exhibition.</em></p></li><li><p><em>Tell the group to invite a friend to the exhibition.</em></p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Unit 7 - Talk about your role model (real hero)</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Young groups: <strong><mark>Cooking and serving food at a restaurant/ fast food place<br></mark></strong>Students previously create a fast food menu and assign who is bringing each item.<br>At the day of the project, students set the tables on 2nd floor as restaurant tables, and use the menu to order and server the food, taking turns as client and waiter.<br><br><em>Tips:</em></div><ul><li><em>Dress students for the occasion! Waiters should be provided with trays and notepads, and also wear a stylish black bow tie;</em></li><li><em>if available, use tabeclothes on the tables of 2nd floor.</em></li></ul><div>&nbsp;<strong><mark><br></mark></strong>Adults: <strong><mark>At a pub<br></mark></strong>Students previously create a bar menu and assign who is bringing each item.<strong><mark><br></mark></strong>In a more informal set, students take turns as clients and bartenders, and should order from the counter and tables. Bartenders mix drinks as clients order, accordingly to the menu.<br><br>In both projects, it may be suggested students bring a friend.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students may work in groups,organize and facilitate a workshop.<br>Young groups: <strong><mark>Lifestyles</mark></strong><mark><br></mark>Sts may talk about different lifestyles and bring tips to give to de audience. Each group is going to be assigned differnt aspects of life (personal life, professional life, academic life, and so on, for instance ).<br><br>Adults: <strong><mark>Job interviews</mark></strong><mark><br></mark>Sts do some research and bring up tips on how to do well in a job interview. Assign different tasks to the groups, such as: what to wear, how to behave, questions to ask, how to organize the résumé, etc.<br><br>Students must be encouraged to bring friends to attend their workshop, as for other groups at shchool should be invited to attend as well.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><mark>Cultural fair: Pop art<br><br></mark></strong>Students work in groups and each group chooses, at the beginning of the semester, a pop culture item, which they will look up throughout the semester, to, finally, put up a cultural fair and organize stands to talk about their items. <br><br><em>Tips:</em></div><ul><li><em>It should be made clear this is both a collaborative and a cooperative project, so all students in the groups must be working actively in collecting materials for their stands during the semester, and should also be involved on the demonstration, at the day of the fair.</em></li><li><em>Students should invite friends to the fair, and also other groups of the school.</em></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Organizing a party<br></strong><br>In unit 3 students learn future with going to for plans and at the end of the unit they learn to organize a party and set up tasks for each participant. This could be performed as a real situation. Students would make a list of things needed and they should set what each student is going to do/bring for the party. Remember to use a theme for the party so they can arrange decoration as well. Use digital murals to organize and keep track of the organization.<br><br><strong>Garage Sale</strong><br><br>In unit 6 students learn about garage sales. This activity could involve a real garage sale with donations for children's day and could be extended for the whole course.<br><br>Another option would be asking students to bring things they don't use at home and simulate a garage sale in the hall or auditorium with the class<br><br><strong>Cooking Time<br><br></strong>Unit 7 is all about food. You can have a real burger place simulation in which students would bring food to buy, sell and to be served during the role play. This&nbsp; could take place in the hall.<br><br>In unit 7 students learn ingredients and recipe to cook pasta. You can use it as an opportunity to have a real cooking class with either pasta or pizza, which involves basically the same ingredients and procedure<br><br></div>]]></description>
