         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Comments:<br><br>The talk on Who Moved My HR is a very interesting and eye opening experience where I get the real insight of how HR actually works nowadays. With the advancement of technology, HR is not someting to be left behind too. This is proven by how all of the HR services is now only self-service in a system. They did some example on how the system and from what I can see, the implementation of HRIS in PETRRONAS is very comprehensive and it come to my surprise that they don't need that much of people to handle HR anymore as all of things are going IT.<br><br>According to the speaker, the only part in HR that they still need some human touch is Industrial Relation matter and also payroll. In open my eyes on how challenging this technology revolution might be to those who are still seeking for jobs and it is a wake up call for us to further equipped ourselves with numerous talents and abilities to be viable in the market.<br><br>The need for human touch in IR matters has make me become more grateful for having to learn IR in my studies as it proved that having this knowledge is very compulsory in becoming HR practioner. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>ID student: 2016534727<br><br>From the talk of “Who Removed My HR?” given by Petronas that came to our faculty last month, I realized that we already next to the other level which inhere the HR will no longer be manager by humans but will be in the systems of HR. So I see it as the implementation of Industrial Relation 4.0 and we can see that there will be less in human capital used in HR.<br><br>This talk has opened my eyes about the trend of HR management in big company used right now such as Petronas which they are now more to the technology and less the human intake. The employee in the organization will have to self service by using the systems. However, Petronas also had stated that they still need human in controlling the issues in the organizational regarding of Industrial Relation and payroll of their employees.<br><br>Therefore, I see this as a new challenge and reality that fresh graduates need to face in while seeking for a job. As a way to help with the issue, I think that all students must prepared by enhance their communication skills and possessing themselves with extra ability and skills so that it will be the advantages for us in the future.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Talk “Who Moved My HR” on 22 November 2018<br><br></div><div>Talk content is so interesting. It is about what happen to human resource if the company no longer need a human resource manager. It happens because the system and robot already take it away. In PETRONAS, they use MYpassport as their human resource system.  MyPassport are a self-service portal for HR matters. For example, PETRONAS staff can apply their holiday, claim and travel through the app. Besides, the employees can update bank details. They no longer used the traditional way which they need to meet HR manager to apply their holiday, update their bank details, claim, travel and many more. Now, we can see why they moved my HR.  <br><br></div><div>IR4.0 will work faster than previous  due to the use of technology. The biggest change will be in the form of how they work and the jobs they perform today, these will be taken over by robots that will be directed by the workers. In most cases employees will require retraining and new training in learning how to operate new applications, and the challenge for senior management is trying to keeping up with the new trends while running the business. In fact, IR 4.0 is a good thing that must be implement. Future employers and employees need not to worry about the unemployment because the company still need us to monitor the system and robot.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Assalamualaikum Dr. Husna.  On 27 November 2018, we had been invited to attend one talk regarding “Who Moved My HR” by Puan Nor’Aini Jalaludin, Head Global HR Services, Petronas.  Through the talk, we had been exposed to real world of employment industry especially focused more on Human Resource in an organization.  Basically, Human Resource is a very crucial in order to manage an employees.  However, from the talk we could know even technology might replace the job of HR, there are certain things that HR people still must do manually.  Puan Nor’Aini also explained regarding the system that Petronas been implemented in term of managing their salary and others, which is for me with the good technology or software that managed all those things could help HR practitioners doing their job seamlessly and aligned with new technology revolution.<br><br></div><div>We could know certain challenges that faced by HR practitioners which is handling the poor performers in Petronas, how HR practitioners handle the poor performers that more aging to you.  First things first, as mentioned by Puan Nor’Aini we as a HR practitioners must listen to their problem first, then HR practitioners could come out with solution or next action that need to be taken if the particular person still do not have an improvement.<br><br></div><div>The next challenges is on how HR practitioners want to cope with senior or aging an employees to accept the new technology implemented by Petronas.  HR people need to explain on how to using new software or technology to aging employees because aging employees is hard or difficult to accept new technology compared to young generation of employees in Petronas. This shows, not everyone will accepted the new technology that been implemented by company.  From here, this is a vital role for HR practitioners to make their workers fully understand the importance of changes in technology and the purpose to do it.<br><br></div><div>As an employees, what make us different from others is the skill set that you possessed that could make you shine in an organization said by Puan Nor’Aini.  As an employees, we always need to be prepared the industrial revolution in employment industry.<br><br></div><div>Lastly, it is very interesting and informative talk regarding HR. It give me feel more enthusiasm to be a good human resource practitioners in future that could assist company operate seamlessly.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Assalamualaikum Dr. we had attend the talk title “Who Moved My IR?” by Puan Nor’Aini Jalaluddin, Head Global HR Services (GHRS) Petronas. The talk was about how Petronas implementing the new HR system that they used in their organization.  Puan Nor’Aini also mentioned that many organizations had implement the new HR system.  It is surprising where the organizations have some improvements in terms of technology where Petronas used self-service HR for the employees.  By having this self-service, the employees might be easy to access their own salary, how to apply for leave, to do complaints and so on. Puan Nor’Aini also said that even though they are implementing the new self-service of HR, they still need the human touch because technology cannot solve certain problems that need human solutions. This can give an advantage to us because in IR we had learn on how to solve problems or dispute between the employee and organizations.  Even though the organizations in future might use self-service but we as a future graduates can prepare ourselves more better in terms of knowledge and skills to attract the employer.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>From the talk "Who Moved My HR" given by Petronas last month, I gain some knowledge and experience about how HR management practised in Petronas. Currently in Petronas, they are no longer used too many HR practitioner in their organization. This is because they already have one system called MyPassport. MyPassport is a self-service portal for HR matter such as applying leave, processing claims and travel. All staff in Petronas did not have to meet HR manager to apply leave and so on. They only have to apply through online at anywhere anytime. However, Petronas still need human touch in managing Industrial relations and payroll of their employees. So I think by studying IR in university, it gave advantages for me to pursue my knowledge in this field. <br><br>Beside that, I see this system as a challenge for fresh graduates like me as now almost all companies in Malaysia use online system to manage their employees. So the number of HR practitioners in their department had been decreasing. Therefore, I think all students in Malaysia need to improve their skills such as analytical and communication in ensuring they are still relevance in the industry.</div>]]></description>

Where in the system that they implement mostly use the technology and require a very few people in conducting the HR function in that organization. It is align with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) that have been include in the talk. <br><br></div><div>Industrial Revolution 4.0 basically about the implementation of technology in the workplace in a different way. Where the technology are mostly use in carry out almost all function in a workplace that can be replace by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This technology give a huge impact in the working trend of the workers. Where there are some position might not be exist anymore as this technology can perform better than a human workers. Come to the HR department, this technology mostly will eliminate the human touch that I think is still crucial in the workplace. So by implementation of this system they might be reduce in human touch in the workforce itself. <br><br></div><div>So as a HR in future what we must do to stay align with this technology and all the new system that being implement is to increase our competitive advantage as a human capital for the future. It can be achieved by increasing our skills set where we need a different and extra skills that made us more valuable in the future workforce.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Assalamualaikum Dr. Husna,<br><br>Based on the talk 'Who moved My HR' given by Puan Nor' Aini bt Jalaludin, i gain some knowledge and information about HR management practices in Petronas. We had beeen exposed to the real working environment in an organization. Petronas nowadays, more into technology/software in their production, where Petronas replace HR Practitioners with software (My-Passport) in dealing with their employees. My- Passport is a self service software where employee easily can check their salary, annual leave balance, etc. The employees did not have to make an appointment with HR Practitioners, because through My-Passport, employees can easily make a complaint anywhere and anytime. For me, by implementing this software, it will help Petronas in maintaining their quality in HR Department.<br><br>However, there some issue will be arise due to implementation of My-Passport which is fresh graduate or some of HR Practitioners will lost job and becoming unemployed. This is due to technology take over human job. So, possibility for fresh graduates to become unemployed is high. So, fresh graduates nowadays need to plan and think wisely about their future and what can make them different from others.<br><br>So, I think we as future HR Practitioner need to stay align and being expose to this technology. Malaysia nowadays in a mission to be developed country which implementing IR 4.0, so we need to be a pro in technology to ensure we not left behind with our competitors. It makes me realize that technology really take place of employee. Even it can impact us as fresh graduate of Human Resource, but it makes the organization more advance and follow the technology trends.<br><br>From the talk, Puan Aini mentioned that PETRONAS was implement new HR system which is using Mypassport. It is self-service portal where the employees can apply leave, check their salary and etc anytime and anywhere they want to access. From this we know, PETRONAS was moved their HR practices from employee to use IT. But not all HR departments replace with it, because IR department still need HR practitioner. So this is advantage for us who learn IR where we can still compete with the technology revolution. Human touch is still needed in HR practices.<br><br>Due to rapid technology advancement, this is challenges to fresh graduates. I think all fresh graduates nowadays need to have good package where must have good and extra skills, knowledge and abilities. This is more flexible because the employees does not have to personally meet the HR to apply leave. By having an extra skills it shows that they are a great learner and can easily adapt to new situations and working environments.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Assalamualaikum Dr. Husna,<br><br>From the talk 'Who Moved My HR' that has been held last month, I have gain a knowledge and insight on how the human resource practice in Petronas is being conducted. <br><br>During the talk given by Puan Nor Aini Jalaludin who is a Head Global of HR Services, she said that in Petronas they no longer used human energy to conduct the activities of human resources in the company. According to her, starting now the company has used a system to run all the human resources function namely as My Passport. Through this system, the employee in the organization can use the application to check on their leaves, make a complaint, and the other function that previously conducted by the Human Resource practitioner. <br><br>From my point of view, the usage of such system like My Passport was a good practice to be implemented in the organization because it help the company and employee to do their job faster and also in a convenience way. Besides, there is also no need for them to meet with the HR practitioner and do it manually which is very time consuming and wasting time. By having such technology to do that, it can also educate the employee and promote them to engage with the technology because nowadays the world are moving forward to the Industrial Revolution where everything is automated.<br><br>However, despite of having the technology to do the human work, there is also some impact or issue that need to be encountered by the organization once they adapt with it. First, it may be hard for the employee to use the system and learn to get used to it especially the older generation who used to do it manually during their time. The organization need to teach them slowly so that they can accept this changes and therefore work effectively with the system. Second, it may also impact the new comer or those who came from human resource background as their job is now is taken over by the technology. It may create a competition for them to look for a job because they need to compete with the technology as nowadays many organization are using system to run almost all the HR activities. <br><br>From this, I learnt that there is a need for fresh graduates to equipped themselves with a full set of skills and knowledge to remain competitive in the market. This is because the world are moving fast with the rapid growth of  technology and for us to keep relevant in the market we must prepare ourselves better to meet the demand of the employer and adapt with the changes. <br><br>Luckily, even though almost all the function of HR are now run by the system, there is also certain area where it also need a human capacity to do it for example regarding the industrial relations matter. For that, I think it is an advantage for me because I get a chance to study the Industrial Relation subject during my studies where I found this matter is really important once we entered into the industry and therefore help me to make use of this knowledge effectively once I complete my studies. <br><br></div>]]></description>

It means all staff did not have to meet HR Manager to apply leave. They just need to apply using system.<br><br>It was awesome talk and of course we have learned so much. Beside that, the speaker also told us about internship program in petronas. It very useful because the participant that attend the talk is basically from part 5 student who has need to go to internship in next semester.<br><br>It is a informative talk and we have enjoy it a lot.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>Assalamualaikum Dr. Husna.</div><div><br></div><div>Based on the talk “Who Moved My HR” given by Head Global HR Services, Pn Nor Aini, I had gain a new knowledge and know how the technology impact on their HR department. </div><div><br></div><div>During the talk given, Pn Nor Aini said that in Petronas HR was no longer needed because of the system that they have been implemented. All the human resource job, would be done by the system and the employee need to access it by themselves. This system called MyPassport, where the employee could access to the portal by themselves to apply for leave or claims. This would be convenience for the employee because they don’t have to personally see HR to apply leave. The system also give the employee an opportunity to be independent and learn how to use the system. </div><div><br></div><div>In my opinion, MyPassport was a good system to be practice and implement in the organization. It is very time consuming for the employee because they don’t have to meet the HR personally. It also give new knowledge for the employee to learn about the system. As she said also about IR 4.0, we could see that all the work later would be carry by the technologies. So, this would be a good chance for the employee to learn by themselves and increase their knowledge and skills. They also mention about the Industrial Revolution 4.0 basically about the implementation of technology in the workplace in a different way. This technology are mostly use in carry out almost all function in a workplace that can be replace by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This technology give a huge impact in the working trend of the workers. Where there are some position might not be exist anymore as this technology can perform better than a human workers. Come to the HR department, this technology mostly will eliminate the human touch that I think is still crucial in the workplace. So by implementation of this system they might be reduce in human touch in the workforce itself. Based on the talk given Puan Nor Aini Jalaludin who is a Head Global of HR Services, she said that in Petronas they no longer used human energy to conduct the activities of human resources in the company. According to her, starting now the company has used a system to run all the human resources function namely as My Passport. Through this system, the employee in the organization can use the application to check on their leaves, make a complaint, and the other function that previously conducted by the Human Resource practitioner. From my perspective My passport is beneficial and a good practice to be implmented in the human resource organization because it can mak our work become more productive and also faster. They indicates that HR practionener it can educate a workers to get used with technology because nowadays technology is very important and all employee need to know how to use it in a good way.<br><br></div><div>Besides, by having this self service application workers become more easiest to apply an leave, to make an complaint, to claims and many else. From this what can I said is the technology is good to be used  but there is impact that workers need to take. This technology may give beneits to workers but at the same time give an bad impact. The organizations in future might use self-service but the fresh graduates need to think that the how to increase our skill, knowledge to adapt with all of this without having the problem and the possibilities to reduce the workers anymore is high. Nor Aini, Head of Global HR Service, I knew that now Petronas is one step ahead to keep their company align with Industrial Revolution 4.0. They also introduced the Employee Insurance Scheme (EIS) to their worker starting this year.  We were well informed that Petronas.  It is good approach used by Petronas to show that they are not left behind in the rapid advancement of technology.<br><br></div><div>Other than that, the speaker also informed us that now Petronas HR Department has been implemented the used of technology.  The touch from Human Resources Manager become lesser than before.  They also introduced some kind on application or system known as MyPassport.  This system replaced the used on direct contact with the HR manager.  Via this system, they will communicate virtually and the feedback from HR manager also will be send virtually.  This system actually help employee to always keep on updated with their leaves, wages, performance appraisal and they also can leave a complaint if their have any grievance.  It a good approached by Petronas to implemented such system.  It helps in updated a more accurate data and make HR practitioners to perform their task easier.  The speaker also said that even though this system has been implemented, they are still some matters that need HR practitioners direct touch.<br><br></div><div>It is undeniably that by implementing this system, the existence of HR practitioner become less important.  The main question is ‘Does HR practitioner still relevance in the industry?’ .  In my opinion, HR practitioner still relevant in the industry.  Other HR practises can be replaced with a new system or application, however, a dispute between employer-employee or employee-employee cannot the solve virtually.  A dispute or any grievance experienced by the workers still need a direct touch from the employer, to be more specific it needs to be solved face to face with the HR manager and the parties that involved.  Thus, it is crucial to ensure that we are still align with the advancement of technology but we need to know that there are some matter that cannot be solve by using technology and need an extra attention.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

It is good to have this kind of exposure as an HR student. Puan Nor Aini the representative is very friendly and the video that been used for the talk also very interactive and easy to understand.What I learn from  the talk is that everyone need to be ready to deal with changes especially in technology in order to keep the organization moving forward and strive its success. As Malaysia wants to strive for IR 4.0, PETRONAS has move its HR activities to technology and reduced the number of HR practitioners within the organization by using system called MyPassport. The system has many benefits as it can help the employee to update their leaves, salaries which makes it convenient for both sides as it requires less time and effort as compared to the traditional one. <br>Therefore, it is good for the employees to adapt with the changes because it will be beneficial for everyone and especially for the organization to stay competent.<br>Overall, this talk is a success and very informative for the students to have this kind of exposure about the reality that happened within industry and should be continued in the future.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Besides, I able get the real insight of how HR department actually works nowadays. How did they manage their HR department and what are current issue are happened in the Petronas. Basically, Petronas are trying to ‘move’ their several HR functions and shift to the technology based which the human workforce is replace by the software which is known as My passport that able help Petronas to increase their productivity. The functions of the MY passport that implemented by the Petronas recently, it able for employee to check their salary, the number of their annual leave in a system.<br><br></div><div>However, in my opinion, with all the implementation of the technology nowadays, it quit worrying me as a fresh graduate who want to seek for a job in the future. According to the Puan Nor Aini, the only department of HR in Petronas that still used the HR practitioners is Industrial relation and payroll. So another work section of the HR had been shut down/terminate by the Petronas after they bring in the software.  For me, even though all the technology gives a benefit to the company by reducing the uses of workmen, but it gives a consequence to fresh graduate or people who are still looking for the job.<br><br></div><div>In a conclusion, we unable to prevent all the technology advancements nowadays As we know, we are going to move to the IR 4.0 which a lot of technology implementation will be bring in the company. So, other alternative that can be taken by higher institution which is make a changes in the course outline of every course in the university by include the subject that more focus to the information technology. As an HR student, this talk really show us that PETRONAS are definitely align with Industrial Revolution 4.0.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Assalammualaikum Dr. Husna,<br><br></div><div>First of all, I would like to thank UITM for invited Petronas Team to give us student exposure and sharing session about their HR System. In my opinion, I never thought that Technology could be so much affected with HR system. I amazed by Puan Nor Aini, cause she could handle it very well and I adore her motivation and her leadership skill of changing the culture in HR. As I learned, it was never easy to convince people to change however she manage to do it, also she was never afraid to take challenge to take this as her task. It open my eyes and mind that nothing impossible if you passionate and has high motivation. </div><div><br>Moreover, this also inspired me to become more hardworking as a student or as a future HR practitioner to apply my knowledge to organization. In addition, she also explain every each of HR System that they have changed whereby everything can be done through online. This make me realized that if admin document or work can be done through online so where should the clerk or administration position be put because it is already occupied by online or system. Besides that, there is question about IR 4.0, wherein everything would be replace by robot and to relate this to my Industrial relation studies, it made me think that if everything is occupied by the robots there will be less cases arise in industrial court because it you cannot summon robots and practically you are the one who control the robot so that will not able to go against you. Therefore, in the future in order for me to compete with other employee or even robot I need to enhance my skill just like Puan Nor Aini has mentioned which analytics skill. </div><div><br>Last but not least, I enjoyed attending this kind of talk and I am honored because it has open my eyes and mind also I gained a lot of information from it.
