Overall, it can be seen that France had the lowest number of Vietnamese studying there, but then it witnessed a continuous increase in this number over the period. Meanwhile, Russia and America both saw a decline in their figures, before they rose again in the last 5 years. 

In 2000, America was the most popular country for Vietnamese students to study abroad, with approximately 3.5 million students learning there. This figure was followed by that of Russia, at about 3 million, which doubled the number of students studying in France, also the lowest number in the table. Over the next ten years, both the figures for Russia and America decreased remarkably, before standing at around 1.8 million and 2.5 million respectively in 2010. By contrast, the number of Vietnamese students going to France rose gradually and reached 3 million in 2010.

After 2010, the figures for all three nations increased. France witnessed a sharp growth in its number and become the most popular country for students from Vietnam. The number of Vietnamese studying in Russia also increased dramatically by around 3 million students. Meanwhile, America just witnessed a marginal rise in its figure over the last five-year period.

In 2000, the number of students studied in America and Russia were higher than before, about 3.500.000 and 3.000.000 people in these countries. By contrast, the number of oversea students in France compared to only 1.500.000 in this year. In next years, from 2000 to 2005, the students studied in America and Russia decreased by a million each, but the students studied in France have increased about 2 millions.
Five years later, the students studied in France rose about 3 millions, but   Russia were opposite. The students in this country seriously decreased to 1.900.000. The number of students in the US was unchanged and then increased to 4.500.000 in 2015. Russia and France have risen, too. Specially, the students studied abroad in two countries sequence rose to 2.500.000 and 5 millions each.

Overall, it is clear that the number of Vietnamese students studying in America ard France tends to increase, while the opposite was true for that in Russia .  

In 2000, France was the least popular option for students in Vietnam to study abroad, with 1,5 million studends. Meanwhile, the amount of student who came to Russia to study twice with France, is 3 millions students. From 2005 onwards, France and America have intersected. However, there was a substantial increase to 3 millions in the number of Vietnamese students studying in France in 2010. By contract, the figure for students enrolling Russia hit the lowest point of 1,8 millions before recovering to 2,5 millions in 2015.

 As for the America, in 2000, up to 3.5 million students attended America schools which was also the highest figure in that year. Over the next 5 years, the average number of Viernamese students enrolling in America declined considerably by roughly 1 million.
