Based on of the two videos about the concept of The Little Rock Nine, my reaction to the video is surprised and in shock at how people felt that schools should not be integrated and refusing desegregation. They chose to recite chants in their efforts in maintaining a predominantly Caucasian schools singling out the African Americans and closing schools down. After receiving a plea for more African Americans to join schools, many closed their doors resulting in the relocation of many African American education seekers. After the first video on the history of the Little Rock Nine, the second video had eased my opinion about the Caucasians who treated the African Americans unfairly,. Since they had felt ashamed and sorry for what they had done to the people that they hurt. They wanted to make amends and resolve all conflict that they created when they were ignorant teenagers.

Little Rock Nine Videos Reaction:
After watching the first Little Rock Nine video, I was shocked at the history of the Little Rock Nine. I didn't previously know anything about this event, so the videos helped increase my knowledge. The thing that I was most shocked to learn was that the school was closed for almost 10 years because of the issue of integration. That shocked me mainly because I don't see schools closing down like that just because the students did not accept integration. I feel as if schools should only shut down for genuine reasons, and not because of student opinion. I'm also appalled at the fact that the National Guard had to be called to a school. However, the second video helped me understand that people will come around, especially in the case of the Little Rock Nine, and apologize for their actions.

Based off prior knowledge of Little Rock Nine was and take place in Arkansas, the year 1957. Where 9 black students transfer to white school. But was not allowed to because they were black kids going into a white school. The kids needed the national guards to protect them when they walked into the school, when entering the building. Later to have a similar story, that happened to a girl named Rudy Bridges. Years later when the kids become adults, they told there experience of what it was like for them when they were young going to integration a segregated school. On the "Oprah Winfrey show".

Based on these videos on The Little Rock Nine I know that this situation was about 9 teenagers that wanted to attend a majority white school. This took place in September 25th 1957. These 9 students decided to have a protest in front of the school but the plan had gotten messed up. One of students had went to the school to go meet them by herself just to find out that they left already. So the lady had to walk home with a huge crowd of ignorant white people behind her. The Group of people behind her we're shouting ignorant things at her. The white lady behind her told her that she doesn't belong her and she needs to go back to where she came from.

After watching the Little Rock 9 I realise it's not just the government wanting segregation in school but also the schools. Public schools decided to shut it self down so black people can't join. The schools then decide to open private academies just for white people. It amazes me how much those schools didn't want to be integrated but segregated. It is unfair that some people can't get an education because of segregation.

The Little Rock Nine were nine colored students who fighted for equal opportunity for education. I am here to day with the ability to have equal education and should take advantage of this opportunity. I am proud that I can got to school with different races and not be judged by my skin color. I also feel ashamed of not work hard enough and not taking advantage of the education I got and provided for me. Now from this video I can attend class more often.

I think that its horrible that you can not like a group of people over something they can’t control. The fact that some of the white children were scared to do the right thing because of their parents really shows how racism had become normalized. I have the most upmost respect for the Little Rock nine as they went through things I couldn’t imagine.. from being embarrassed publicly to being expelled. Closing down schools just because you don’t want a specific group of people to attend showed how much more fighting was needed .

Mr.David accepts that he did not understand the difficulty of being an African American in the world and is ashamed. It was not surprising how people were acting because of the nine colored people who joined a predominately white school. The mob who threatened the nine were really hurtful and disrespectful. I am now proud that I can attend a school where I am not judged by my skin color. Rather I am surrounded by people of the same color

There were Black codes and Jim Crow Laws at this time. White people were seen as superior and black people; inferior. A group of smart African Americans went to go and desegregate a white school. While they were trying to do this Jim Crow Laws and Black codes were in effect. It was always a known fact that whites were valued more than blacks. The KKK was going around setting blacks on fire because of the content of their skin.As the years went on Mr.David seen that what he did was wrong and racist. He acted this way because of the way he was raised. As an adult he is able to make his own choices and apologize for he wrong doings. The group of kids who participated made an impactful change and a lot of people needs to hear this story.
