How do car safety features help reduce the force during a crash:</p><p>- Stability control also known as Electronic Stability Control is designed to help drivers maintain control, especially during slippery conditions and sudden maneuvers.</p><p><br></p><p>Q3. Why are some parts of a car made to crumple in a crash (like the front and back)?:</p><p>- Crumple zones are parts of a car that are built to absorb impact energy during a crash by deforming, in order to reduce passenger injury.</p><p><br></p><p>Q4. If a car slows down before crashing, how does this affect the force on the body?:</p><p>- When the car suddenly slows down before crashing, the force of the passenger is smaller, making injuries less severe. With stability control, the car can slow down safely and preventing skids before a possible crash.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

How do car safety features help reduce the force during a crash?</p><p>- Safety features such as seatbelts reduce the force during a car crash by protecting the passenger from moving forward. Drivers can avoid severe injuries because of this feature.</p><p>Q3. Why are some parts of a car made to crumple in a crash (like the front and back)?</p><p>- These parts are crumpling in order to absorb the force from the collision and prevent the passenger to experience such danger.</p><p>Q4. If a car slows down before crashing, how does this affect the force on the body?</p><p>- Comparing a car that slows down and a car that doesn't slow down, there is a significant change seen. Based from experience, whenever slowing down to a brake like a vehicle in traffic, your body moves forward with only small inertia from your body and small force from the seatbelt. However, when there is a sudden stop like pressing on the brakes before crashing onto a vehicle, you body moves forward with big inertia and a big force from the seatbelt.</p>]]></description>

What happens to the passenger when a moving car crashes and suddenly stops?</p><p>- When a moving car crashes and suddenly stops, the airbag which should be installed in your vehicle(mostly on front seats) will activate and it will lessen the impact of the crash to the person riding/driving the car. This airbag will also prevent you from major injuries which is caused by inertia and collision.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Q2. How do car safety features help reduce the force during a crash</p><p>-Car safety features like airbags will greatly help reduce the force of the crash towards the person. The airbag will pop up so that the passenger/driver will not face any harm.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Q3. What happens to the passenger when a moving car crashes and suddenly stops? </p><p>- When a car suddenly stops, according to Newton's 1st law of inertia, an object will continue in motion without continuous force unless there is a net force that will stop it. </p><p>- This means that the passenger will go forward when the car crashes and suddenly stops caused by the brakes because of the law of inertia. </p><p><br/></p><p>Q2. How do car safety measures help reduce the force during a crash?</p><p>- It will help the passenger become more safer. It can make the car and the passenger received less impact when we apply brakes and keep distance from the car in front of us. </p><p>Q3. Why are some parts of a car made to crumple in a crash (like the front and back)? </p><p>- The front and the back are the most common to crumple in a crash because those are the parts that protects the passengers inside the car. When the brakes are applied late, the parts made to crumple will be the secondary defense in protecting the passengers inside.</p><p>Q4. If a car slows down before crashing, how does this affect the force on the body?</p><p>- It lessens the impact and the effect of the crash. When the car slows down the momentum will change and also slows down which will lessen the effect of the force on the body.</p>]]></description>
