The article talks about why the death penalty should be abolished and why it's not right. I think the intended use is to the citizens to help abolish the death penalty. The rhetorical appeal is Logos. They used was they brought the 14th amendment and used it against them. I say that it was pretty affective because they should not be allowed to break amendments. The source helps clarify that they should abolish the death penalty by saying what's wrong with it. The weakness was when they said they made a survey, and it was more that the death penalty should not be abolished then it should be abolished. This research source was very useful because it informed me about the death penalty.

The purpose of my 2nd source was to show examples of people getting the death sentence. The source talks about a 22-year-old who receives the death sentence in 2015 for mass murder. I think that the audience is toward more to the government. The rhetorical appeal is Logos. They used to be using a victim of the death penalty and how it was too harsh of a punishment. The appeal was very affective because they used real life evidence. The writer made the topic very clear about the death penalty and why it is not right. The weakness that the writer had was adding rates to the writing. For example, it said more people liked the death penalty then others. This source is very good if you want to know about a real victim.

The purpose was to show what places abolished the death penalty and what's wrong with it. It states that more than 2 thirds of the world's countries have abolished it. It also said ''the death penalty discriminates on the basis of race''. The intended use is to the citizens to show how much we helped. The rhetorical appeal is logos. The writer used was giving alternatives instead of the death penalty. I think that the alternatives are very affective so that it keeps people safer. The writer does not clarify as much as the other sources. I say this because it has less information than other sources. The weakness this source has is that it states if you have money, you can pay your way out of it, Which I don't think is true. This source is not as informational then the other 3 sources, but it is pretty good in general.

The purpose of this source was to show that the death penalty was a human error and that it wasn't right. In the article it states ''at least 124 people have been freed from death row after evidence of their innocence emerged, proving that the system is prone to human error''. This means that the death penalty is not the right sentence to give, and it should be abolished. I think that the Intended use is to the citizens of America. I think the rhetorical that was used is ethos. I think that it was effective because it has real evidence on how the death penalty doesn't work. This article clarifies good by having evidence and reasoning and how it should be abolished. The weakness of this article is that it's not very long and a small article. This article is useful and relevant to what I am researching for.
