This book is about a little girl who has a hard time in school because of her reading ability. Throughout the book she faces many challenges, death, bullying, moving but most of all reading. Although she had escaped the grip of most of her teachers, she finally landed herself in a classroom with a teacher that saw right through her, Mr. Falker. With the help of him, she learned to sound out letters, words, sentences, and was eventually able to read.

Sadly though, during recess they were stolen. Junie B. went on a long adventure to the "Lost and Found" box learning a valuable lesson, to return things when they are found.

When Junie B. finds out she is going to have a baby sibling, she is very unsure how to feel. When the time came and Junie B's mom was at the hospital, she got to stay home all alone with her Grandpa. In the morning when her Grandma came home from the hospital, she referred to the baby as a "cute monkey". This really confused Junie B. When she got to school, she told all her friends about her real, life, monkey brother. Competitions were being held to see who would be able to meet her baby brother first. Although the competitions got a little out of hand, at the end of the day Junie B. found out that sometimes adults say things that can be confusing. And that her brother really wasn't a monkey, just a really cute baby!

Rosie was quiet and liked to collect lots of things that she could use to create new inventions. She built her uncle a cheese hat and he laughed at her and her invention. She threw it in the back of her closet because she was ashamed. That changed when her aunt came. Her aunt dreamed of flying through the sky. She stayed up all night to think of what to make, but when she made the flying machine, it crashed and her aunt laughed at her. She vowed to never build anything again. Her aunt pulled her in and was so happy and told her she did it! The flying machine was in the air flying, the first try was a success. She got her peers to start building things to. Failure is not true unless you give up.

The whole class watched in disbelief that the sandwich was actually good? So everyone the next day brought weird sandwich's, and Carla brought a normal one. But, when she got home, her dad was not happy and told her that she could not go to the camp because they could not afford cleats for her. The next day she showed up at the baseball field, Mr. Street gave her a box with new cleats in it. This allowed her to go play in the baseball camp.

You don't have to tell them the bad things about them or what they are doing, you can pick something you do like and tell them that instead.

So she tried different things, but none of them were good things, so she ran slow and went to the principal's office. She soon realized she didn't want to be remembered for being bad. So when she learned her class was going to go to a Butterfly Conservatory, she learned all about butterflies. A butterfly ended up landing on her and wouldn't leave. She was remembered for this.

The boy would climb the tree and the tree would swing its branches, and make apples for the boy to eat. As the boy got older he visited the tree less and less which made the tree sad. When the boy came back he needed money, so the tree produced apples so the boy could sell them. Then the boy came back and wanted a house. So the tree said to cut off its branches to make a house, so the boy did and the tree was happy. And after many years the boy came back and said he wanted a boat. So the tree said to cut down its trunk and make a boat. Then after years and years, the boy came back. The tree had nothing left for the boy. So the boy sat on the trunk and spent time with the tree.

The selection is now winding down to less and less girls. America has to make the decision if she really wants to stay or not. Is living in the castle with Mason worth the life she could have with Aspen outside of the castle? America has to learn about diplomacy and the monarchy. She does not seem to believe in what the monarchy is standing for. Who are the rebels and what do they want? In this book America makes what she learns about the rebels and the kingdom known. While this is happening, America is still deciding about Maxon. She is getting growingly more jealous of the other girls if they go on dates with the prince.
