I don't think i have fully integrated into the german culture, without speaking the language and my community consisting of mainly international people and schooling. I believe I am closer to my SA local community and globalisation due to feeling like i fit in more outside of the german culture. Also i have travelled a lot and experienced a lot of the world which also plays a role into a slighlty higher number.

Lived in three different countries so have been exposed to many different cultures and I identify with these.
My perspective on life is also very different to how the people of my local culture think due to my different experiences.
I have no one country that feels like home right now. However, I can see myself living in my home country longer term compared to where I lived now.
This is because I prefer the general way of living and weather there. Plus my family lives there.

From a language perspective I only speak 1.5 languages which makes me more tied to my local identity. Although I have family that now lives in different countries so I travel often to visit and adapt to those cultural norms. We celebrate different holidays. I have been active in human rights activist groups and environmental activism, which is a more globalized concept.

Because going to a international school, I learned not only one language. I like to travel to different countries and happy if I‘m studying somewhere else than germany. On the other hand I have a lot of German friends, my family is living in germany. I was born hier and live since 18 years in germany.

i feel like i am relatively global , although i cant say very high because i have not visited many different places . To a large degree i have only heard about other cultures and never experienced them first hand .i aslo grew up in a small town and have only recently been in a more global setting

I am still very closely connected with my culture but still aqcuired some openmindedness since going to an international school.Seeing different perspectives and cultures I started comparing mine to theirs,and finding what is right for me

So personally I identify myself more with my local environment due to some following reasons. I was born here, therefore I also stick to the stereotypical german „norms“, eg. the language, having the Realschulabschluss, being an „alman“. On the other hand, my family comes from different countries which is why I was also raised differently and I also prefer these ways of doing certain things, eg. behaviour, food, family, etc. Otherwise, I love living here in this city and in Germany, and I think this also slightly makes me who I am, but on the other hand, I still get a little influenced from other global trends, eg. style/ fashion, food, etc. and I would more say that other things inspire me.

Grew up in one city and associate my hometown with family, friends and familiar traditions and environments
I am very comfortable in my local identity and would expect to connect very closely with other people from my local environment
However, I grew up in an international school and am familiar with the cultures and traditions of other countries because of my close relations with people that aren't from my local community
Also, I feel some disconnect with the german identity which makes me less inclined to only identify with my hometown

I have lived in Leipzig/Germany my whole life. Most of my family lives in Germany/Leipzig, I speak the language and follow traditions. All my friends live in Leipzig. It's really the people that surround me that make me the most global, as their identity has the greatest effect on me. Also, I enjoy living in Leipzig. I'm connected to a lot of cultures, coming from a family full of immigrants and a different country and continent to the one I live in. I speak a lot of languages and take active part in things from other cultures, but of course it's mainly things from my country and germany. This means i'm not entirely global, yet I still understand people from other cultures and identify with many people. from other cultures

I have lived in 3 countries throughout my childhood, which influenced me and made me the person I am
I always visited International Schools which taught me many cultures
I never really had a place where I stayed long term my family is always moving to different countries which makes me feel home everywhere
I experienced many different cultures by traveling a lot which makes me very open

I don’t feel very connected to the local community. Growing up in an international school with lots of friends from around the world, I was constantly exposed to other cultures and adapted them into my life.

I grew up quite multicultural in a lot of different places and I also have a multicultural background.

Going to an International school also means that my life is also very global.

I also travel a lot to new and different places frequently and consume a lot of international media.

For these reasons I don't really feel very integrated into any culture and no one country feels really like home

I consider myself from a specific nationality , but since I was never raised there I don’t have the same connection someone who was would have.

Though that culture is a lot of what raised me, due to my parents teaching it to me. It’s more inherited.

I’ve also lived in different places, European areas. Though I don’t consider myself from either of them.

I would say I’m a lot more global, but still hold great significance with my heritage. Both cultural and blood heritage.

I feel like I am mostly connected to where I lived as a child, but since I only lived there for about 10 years, I have somewhat lost connection to it. Even though I have been living in Germany since I was 11 I don't feel very connected to it especially since I am not fluent in German & I also do not celebrate German traditions. I have also visited quite a large number of countries as I spent a year travelling, I wouldn't consider myself connected to them, but they definitely have shaped me by allowing me to witness/experience different cultures.

I dont really live in leipzig but I grew up to a town really near by so I can connnect to most (main) places inside the city and I know lots of people (more then from my hometown) that live here. I do also feel connected as most people around me speek the same language and grew up a simular way. But besides the fact that grew up in a smaller not that open minded town, the year I spend abroad, the people around me and also the way i was raised influenced my gloabl thinking and made me really open minded and non judging.

I feel like because of my heritage, its hard to fully align with a certain country or location. I consume a lot of media from my birth country like movies, shows, and videos so this makes me feel more tied there but my german side sort of changes how i feel. I dont consider myself very german but i think i identify with the culture enough for me to not feel fully apart of any culture. These reasons make me feel more global than local to any country.

My parents come from two different countries, but I was born here and lived here for my entire life. So inevitably I will always be a bit more 'german' compared to my other ethnicities, not only in my eyes but also for my family abroad.

However, I've been in this (international) school for a long time which is why I grew up making friends from different countries and almost being more exposed to English than my mother tongue. This is why I often find it easier to associate with English-speaking people (especially my age) than German people, despite my living here. Finally, I do spend time on social media and am exposed to global trends and points of view, which is why I would say that I have more of a global identity.

From my very early childhood, I was thrilled to know more about different countries, cultures, and societies, therefore I'm used to soaking in many other perspectives and opinions and accepting them. However, because I had lived in my home country my whole life without going once out of the country, I subconsciously started behaving and strongly identifying myself with people of my nationality. And now, that I am in an international school in other country, I start to doubt my previous principles and beliefs, but therefore struggling to find a like-minded person outside of my nationality because it is sometimes complicated to compromise when your cultures are absolutely different. In summary, I can say that I appreciate my culture in my home country and mention my identification with it but I am also always open to something new in society to have different perspectives and opinions.

I am very closely connected with my local environment. Because I was born in the country and went to school where we didn't talk much about other cultures, because we didn't have many people coming from abroad. Therefore even here in Germany I usually become friends with people from my home country or at least with people who speak one of my mother languages. However since I go to the international school I'm always open to talk to people with different cultural backgrounds, because conversations make me more openminded.

I feel like I'm in the middle but leaning more towards being more international.

I grew up in Germany and lived here my entire life. I feel a connection to my hometown and country. One of my parents is German and I have learned German since I was young. Although I want to identify as German I often feel detached from the community.

My other parent is international and I visit my international family every year. I speak English fluently and feel more comfortable communicating in English than in German.

I have gone to an international school my entire life. I have become familiar with many other cultures from other countries. My family travels a lot and i have visited many countries.

Sometimes I feel like I'm disconnected from both communities, the international and the local. I don't feel like I fit into both.

Ive lived in two separate countries and exposed to 2 cultures. However the countries ive lived in are quite multicultural. I also have multiple friends from different background that i befriended due to multiple common interests. I speak 4 languages further allowing to communicate with large amount of people. My active presence online and the fact that i also had many short stays in separate countries further link to my score.

I grew up in England but am German/American. My mother being American makes me feel closer to that side, I speak with an American accent and follow many American traditions, eg. thanksgiving. We visit very often and have a huge family there, making me feel more part of something when I'm there. Living here in Germany now and spending my teenaged years here has however also shaped my identity, and I enjoy that part. I always spoke German with my dad and grandparents and am getting even better thanks to making German friends.

But again, most of my years were spent in England, I have a British sense of humour and can still do a British accent. I have friends over there too and I feel as though that is the place I know best.

Different parts of these places shape my social identity and I think I am connected to them all.

Though both of my parents come from different countries, I myself lived in Leipzig essentially my whole life and feel quite connected to the city culturally. My ability to speak more than just german fluently does however no doubt change the way I interpret not only my immediate surroundings but also the world compared to most people who feel a deep connection to Leipzig or Germany.

I have always lived in Leipzig and went to school here and my native tongue is German therefore I will automatically feel quite connected with the City and the people here. However because of going to a international school I have learned another language and have become familiar with different cultures, my friends are also not all local due to the fact that im going to a international school. I also like to travel and visit different countries/ explore more cultures

Growing up in Leipzig, Germany, I feel quite connected to this place, which definitely had a significant impact on shaping my identity through local culture. Although its a culturally very diverse country, it still has its own local, cultural aspects that I adopted for myself as well. But I also feel very in touch with my place of birth and their culture too, as my family also passed that part of culture onto me, thus shaping my identity. In addition, I have also been to many places in the world travelling, allowing me to experience a vast variety of cultures, ultimately influencing my identity formation to become more global.

I feel quite connected to my family outside of Leipzig because grew up with them but also I love visiting new places and learning about new cultures because science I was young my parents took me to many different places and cultures.I feel a bit more multicultural than local

I don't really feel connected to Leipzig and Germany in general. As I grew up in a different country and lived there until just 6 months ago. My other limitation to feel the attachment to my local community is that I don't know the language, even though I am learning German since I can remember. Not being able to communicate with people around me, like in shops or different types of public transportation is extremely frustrating and it irritates me so much.

The problem is also that I don't feel connected to my home country. Since I can remember I didn't really like growing up there and always knew that I belong somewhere else and unfortunately in Germany I feel that too.
