Bonolo is developing steadily in her physical skills. She can draw a recognizable body image and name several body parts, showing an emerging understanding of their functions. She demonstrates fair coordination in tasks involving midline crossing and consistently uses her right eye, hand and foot, indicating developing right-side dominance. Bonolo's continued practice to correctly identify her left hand and foot from her right, both physically and on paper has shown great improvement. This skill development is crucial as it has affected her ability to orient herself accurately in her environment.

Bonolo's fine motor skills demonstrated continuous improvement throughout each reporting term. She is able to trace and colour-in, between the lines with better precision and accuracy than can be seen in previous worksheets done earlier this year. Her eye-hand coordination has also improved and she independently fasten and loosen the tiny buttons of her beautiful summer clothes. She has practised to build puzzles during each opportunity given to her and now she is proud to say that she is able to complete a 48 piece puzzle all on her own.

Bonolo is developing well in her gross motor skills. While she can sometimes be hesitant when trying new activities, she responds positively to encouragement and guidance from her teacher. With support, praise and gentle reminders of her abilities, Bonolo demonstrates growing confidence and determination. She can confidently jump, skip, crawl, climb and hop, and she enjoys participating in obstacle courses and a variety of ball games. Her willingness to try and her enjoyment of physical activities reflect her steady progress and developing coordination.

Bonolo has actively engaged in our action dance and movement songs, showing great enthusiasm during games like musical chairs and musical statues. She can distinguish between louder and softer sounds and can identify whether the tempo is faster or slower. Bonolo approaches arts and crafts with great attention to detail. She listens carefully to the instructions given and often asks me to check her artwork, making sure she is following the right steps. Bonolo strives to replicate the art activities as precisely shown in the examples.

Bonolo has demonstrated strong mathematical development this term. She has an excellent understanding of both 2D and 3D shapes, confidently identifying and naming almost all of the 17 2D shapes and 3 out of the 4 3D shapes taught. She uses her knowledge of sides and corners effectively to describe and distinguish between shapes accurately. Bonolo can rote count from 0 to 100 using a counting sheet or abacus and is able to accurately count out counting cubes up to 10. Her growing confidence and enthusiasm for exploring numbers and shapes reflect her developing mathematical skills.
