Monas or National Monument is a monument that has been built since the days of Ir. Soekarno. Monas has the upper part in the form of a Freedom Box. The section symbolizes the effort and determination of the people to achieve the freedom of the Proclamation of Independence that occurred in August 1945. The monument has a section that forms a flame with a layer of gold of 35 kg. Monas building has a height of 137 meters with a layer of marble in parts. At the bottom there is a floor that is used for the meditation hall and used as a historic museum. This national monument is open to the public and is provided with an elevator for visitors who want to see the sights of the city through the top of the monas.

You can go early to see a scene that is not foggy and certainly not crowded. Monas also provides certain access for people who have special needs. The history of Indonesia is mostly explained on the floor of the underground room through diorama exhibitions. In 1961, President Soekarno had begun the construction of monas, but was not completed in 1975 and continued by President Soeharto. Inside the monument there are several museums namely the Contemplation Hall which contains recordings of speeches and original documents from the Declaration of Independence and there is also the room of The Freedom Hall which contains exposure to a series of Indonesian struggles through dioramas to achieve independence.

Big Ben is the bell that strikes the hours in the clock tower above the Houses of Parliament at Westminster in London. It weighs 13.5 tons and was named Big Ben in honor of Sir Benjamin Hall, who was Commissioner of Works at the time of the tower’s completion in 1858. Interestingly, the White chapel Bell Foundry where it was cast is still operating from the same location today. There are four smaller bells in the tower which strike the quarters and are called ‘Little Bens’.

Big Ben symbolizes to many people the ‘Mother of Parliaments’. The British have long period themselves on their democratic tradition. The English Parliament was united with the Scottish Parliament in 1707 and with the Irish between 1801 and 1922.

Since 1688 it has been customary for the king or queen to choose his or her ministers from the dominant political party in the Commons.

The Houses of Parliament are not particularly old – the present building having been built between 1840 and 1860. It does, however, incorporate portions of the medieval Palace of Westminster. The Commons debating chamber – which nowadays can be seen on television – was destroyed by incendiary during World War II and was later rebuilt preserving its former character.

When the Houses of Parliament are in session, the clock is illuminated at night by a light that goes off only when the House rises.

Buckingham Palace is a royal residence in London and the administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning. The building at the core of today's palace was a large townhouse built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703. The last major structural additions were made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including the East Front, which contains the well-known balcony on which the royal family traditionally appears to greet crowds. A German bomb destroyed the palace chapel during the Second World War; the Queen's Gallery was built on the site and opened to the public in 1962 to exhibit works of art from the Royal Collection.

The original early-19th-century interior designs, many of which survive, include widespread use of brightly coloured scagliola and blue and pink lapis, on the advice of Charles Long. King Edward VII oversaw a partial redecoration in a Belle Époque cream and gold colour scheme. Many smaller reception rooms are furnished in the Chinese regency style with furniture and fittings brought from the Royal Pavilion at Brighton and from Carlton House. The palace has 775 rooms, and the garden is the largest private garden in London. The state rooms, used for official and state entertaining, are open to the public each year for most of August and September and on some days in winter and spring.

Disney initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small for the ideas that he had. After hiring the Stanford Research Institute to perform a feasibility study determining an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. The park was designed by a creative team hand-picked by Walt from internal and outside talent. They founded WED Enterprises, the precursor to today's Walt Disney Imagineering. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955. Since its opening, Disneyland has undergone expansions and major renovations, including the addition of New Orleans Square in 1966, Bear Country in 1972, Mickey's Toontown in 1993, and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 2019.[2] Additionally, Disney California Adventure Park opened in 2001 on the site of Disneyland's original parking lot.

Disneyland has a larger cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world, with 757 million visits since it opened (as of December 2021).[3] In 2022, the park had approximately 16.9 million visits, making it the second most visited amusement park in the world that year, behind only Magic Kingdom, the very park it inspired.[4] According to a 2005 Disney report, 65,700 jobs are supported by the Disneyland Resort, including about 20,000 direct Disney employees and 3,800 third-party employees (independent contractors or their employees).[5] Disney announced "Project Stardust" in 2019, which included major structural renovations to the park to account for higher attendance numbers.

Salar de Uyuni (hasna)

Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat that is located in the southwest of Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes. The first impression of Salar de Uyuni was impossible to say it in words. Even though I saw it through pictures and videos, it was still amazing. Salar de Uyuni is the definition of winter. The mood of the desert is clear and clean. The spacious white field is a striking scene.

Salar de Uyuni is very clear and white. Standing on top of the Salar de Uyuni it feels like being in empty space. Therefore, Salar de Uyuni is very quiet. The only things Salar de Uyuni contains are the sky, land, and you. The sky is like a painted drawing, and the land is like a mirror. The ground beneath your feet is so crystal clear, that it reflects the sky and you. The color of the sky is like a paint. Being at Salar de Uyuni, it seems that there is no boundary line between the sky and the land. It is just like a picture. Standing on top of the salt, gives the feeling of standing in front of wallpaper. It feels like that because the sight of Salar de Uyuni is like a drawing.

The land of Salar de Uyuni is filled with salt. The color of the salt is white, and it is smooth and cold. If you raise your hand you can feel the cold breeze. The breeze is not loud and rough. Instead, it slightly passes you and tickles your cheeks. Also, it is quiet and soft. Salar de Uyuni is the definition of silence. The only thing you can hear is the cold breeze. The wind that blows in Salar de Uyuni is like a person whispering to you. The atmosphere of the Salar de Uyuni makes you shiver. It might seem that it will feel bad. However, the atmosphere that makes you shiver, gives you a good feeling. A good feeling of drinking ten sparkling juice, in a row, meaning it is fresh and cool.

Salar de Uyuni is like entering a mirror maze. Since, in what direction you look, you will see the same sight. Even the ground has the same sight as the sky. The night of Salar de Uyuni is the time of admirable excellence. The night sky is filled with glittery stars that blinks swiftly. There is no missing place in the sky. The night sky is just the kingdom of stars. Therefore, the ground that reflects the sky is also filled with the amazing stars. It is like the outer space. The most amazing and fascinating part of Salar de Uyuni is the sunrise. The sunrise of Salar de Uyuni is dazzling and astonishing. The way the sun rises is like golden rays passing by.

Salar de Uyuni is very simple. There is nothing complicated. However, we are able to descript Salar de Uyuni in several explanation, words, and images. This is a place where you will extol and draw the images of Salar de Uyuni in your dreams. If there is an amazing galaxy in the universe, on earth there is Salar de Uyuni. It is a paradise. The reflection of the sky and the ground, the gushing stars at night and the mood of the desert are so charming and beautiful. I hope you will able to see the wonderful sight of Salar de Uyuni.
