         <title>7th Math Similar Figures</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Start with video getting kids attention. Math snacks video. Then a mini lesson where we review similar figures and scale drawings. Students will then go outside to take pictures of items such as trees, buildings or there own shadow. They will use their use knowledge of proportions and similar figures to measure shadows and objects in order to tell the height of objects with their shadow. Careers.  Then students will create a video in EdPuzzle or Let’s Recap to present their findings. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Then reveal which one was actually chosen.<br>Then, as a whole class, we will fill out a graphic organizer showing the causes and effects of the Smart Phone. After, groups will choose an invention of the past (cotton gin, steam engine, etc) and create a presentation showing the cause and effects of the invention. During presentations, the audience will answer the question “How did this invention affect society?”&nbsp; For enrichment, students will be asked to create an invention to solve a historical problem such as Child Labor<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
