Kea island, which is also known as Tzia, sits in the Aegean sea south of Attica and belongs to the Cyclades group of Greek islands. Although it is typically a Cycladic island, Kea has a different landscape and different architecture than its Cycladic counterparts.

Chios is the fifth largest of the Greek islands, situated in the northern Aegean Sea. The island is separated from Turkey by the Chios Strait.   • Mavra Volia Chios: On the southwestern coast of Chios lies the beach of Mavra Volia, in a distance of 28km west of Chios Town. Its name means black beach due to the black pebbles and sand that were debouched there from the volcano that is now extinct.
  • Karfas: is a long and organized beach in close distance to Chios Town and the airport. This is the busiest tourist resort of the island.
  • Agia Fotini: is a pebbled beach with a lovely family atmosphere. Some delicious taverns line the coast, which is partly organized.

    As the island is not much open to foreign tourism, organized things to do in Kea are limited. Swimming and walking are the only activities to do.

  • Chios Mastic Museum:The museum is dedicated to "Mastiha" (or gum mastic), a unique product that has shaped the natural and human environment of the Mastichochoria area of southern Chios. The Mastiha cultivation was recognized by UNESCO, with its inscription to the list of intangible heritage.

  • Chios Nea Moni Monastery: The Monastery of Nea Moni is one of the oldest monasteries in Greece, located in the center of Chios island. Dating from the 11th century, the monastery was built by the Byzantine Emperor Constantine IX Monomachos and his wife Empress Zoe on the site where three monks found a holy icon.

  • The Maritime Museum of Chios, Eastern Aegean: An island with rich nautical tradition, the Maritime Museum of Chios depicts the long way of the locals as seafarers. The museum is located in Chios Town and it is housed in a two-storey Neoclassical mansion that was donated in 1991 by the shipowner Anastasios Pateras in order to host the museum. This mansion was constructed in the early 1920s and it has undergone some reformations in order to host the museum.

    As this is the top tourist destination in Greece, there are lots of places to eat and drink in Santorini. Restaurants, cafe, and bars are found all around the island, from popular spots like Fira, Oia, Perissa, and Kamari, to more secluded places. The most impressive places to eat in Santorini are located on top of the caldera cliffs, offering a fantastic view of the Aegean Sea and the volcano. Nice taverns are also found by the sea in Kamari, Perissa, Perivolos, and Akrotiri.
