Responsible for ensuring efficient operations, Steve Betando coordinates with the Board of Education in administering district-wide instructional, business, and other operations. His accomplishments include positively impacting the district’s bottom line by raising Morgan Hill USD’s bond ratings with Moody’s and Standard & Poors to the highest levels among similar districts. Mr. Betando taught within the Franklin-McKinley School District throughout much of the 1980s and served as principal of the Eisenhut Elementary School within the Stanislaus Union School District from 1992 to 1997. His achievements included Elementary Principal of the Year recognition during his final year in the position. He subsequently held a similar position with Chrysler Elementary School for three years. Recognizing his sustained results over the years at comprehensive secondary schools, Mr. Betando has received the California Distinguished Schools Gold Ribbon Award.
