I think they should be sentenced the same way. If a youngster commits a crime at such a young age and don’t receive a strict punishment they would do it again at again since the law don’t affect them in a hard way like they do with someone older.

I think it should be the same since the crimes are still equally serious for both ages and it is not fair that a young person gets away with it easily while an adult bears that responsibility.

I am in favor because if the crimes of young people are not judged and punished they can believe themselves untouchable and continue to commit crimes and when they are adults they will be able to continue to have this behavior and commit even worse crimes than those they committed as young people

An argument in favor of young people having the same sentence is that in this way this can make young people see that they will have the same consequences as adults and this will cause them not to commit the crime.

I agree with this statement but only if it’s applied since a certain age or with a psychological exam. If a person who has more than 10 or 11 years old commits a crime, depending on the level, they should have a psychological exam made on them and with that receive a sentence, if they are aware of what the crime implies they should be punished harder than the ones that aren’t aware. On the other hand, if the person has more than 15 years they should be judged the same way adults are, because since that age you are aware of your own actions.

I think y Ping people should be punished for crimes as the same way as adults because serious crimes should be punished equally, without importance of age. And also that treating everyone the same is fair and that some teens are as mature as adults.
